My friend treated me to some delicious American carrot cakes from her house nearby bakery. I was quite stunned to learn that the cakes were from a neighbourhood bakery cos they taste simply hotel standard. The carrot cake was very light and fluffy. my mother bought home some nice waffles for me and my sister for afternoon snacks. i like the waffles at shenton bakery. the waffles itself is not too dry, very fragrant. i like it that for the kaya waffles, they use the orange kaya, i prefer this towards the green pandan kaya. and their kaya is not too sweet as well. must try this kaya waffles, you will not regret.

My girlfriend bought me a plastic box of cream cheese cake/ bread from a nearby bakery. The cake tasted a little like bread. It had those fresh cream spread in the centre, the cream tasted very fresh and milky. The cheese they added were quite generous portion, giving it a salty taste.
