Siam Kitchen has three outlets across our sunny island - NEX, Lot 1 Shopper's Mall and City Square Mall. However, I am a little unsure about the availability of their fourth outlet at East Point Mall.

They have an extensive menu for salads, mains and drinks, thus were we spoilt for choices. First world problems. Nevertheless, we each ordered our main and had some dishes for sharing.

Green Curry Chicken ($10) and Tom Yum ($8.9) were mandatory. Spicy Minced Chicken Ball ($8.5), Sambal Kangkong and Seafood/Meat Platter for additional portions.

Portions were small and taste was decent. No complaints for food but their service can be improved and hastened a little for a better experience. So if you are looking for a no fuss and casual Thai dining experience, this is the place for you.

To finish my meal fast, I ordered fuss-free specialty. Shrimp Paste Fried Rice was a regular fried rice for Thai family, it was common dish with extraordinary delicious. From its appearance, I would say it was tantalizing. Fluffy rice evenly stirred up, each spoon was a spicy kick. Seafood was freshly caught, all the ingredients were mixed up nicely. Portion was just nice for a meal, price at $10.50. I would reserve my chance for Tom Yum Seafood Soup next trip, I was tempting addictive while I saw my friend eating. Heavy falvourful dishes which satisfied my taste buds, the price and quality of food were not bad too.

There are a lot of food options at Nex and we chose Siam Kitchen as it was rather quiet on a weekday afternoon. Honey Sesame Chicken $9.90++
This tasted like the chicken version of the chinese style sweet & sour pork, sprinkled with sesame seeds. It is not bad actually.

Shrimp Paste Fried Rice $9.90++
The rice was well seasoned with shrimp paste and spices, accompanied with fresh seafood and chicken slices and some mango strips...quite an enjoyable dish.

Crispy tofu with mixed vege $8.90
This dish is quite light in taste, the tofu they used is just regular egg tofu...nothing special. It provides a nice balance to the richer tasting spicy chicken though.

I went to siam kitchen for a meal. I ordered their pandan chicken. the pandan chicken was really delicious but you can only taste the goodness after you remove the pandan leaf. The pandan leaf is very hard to remove. It flakes everywhere and dirty your plate. But the chicken inside is well marinated, the meat is tender and juicy. it is not too oily. It has this dip for you to dip your chicken in, it enhances the flavor of the chicken.

I thought the mini tom yum hotpot looked rather appealing as dinner so I decided to give Siam Kitchen a try. The hotpot set consisted of a bowl of rice and tang hoon, plus a plate of vegetables, prawns, chicken and fish. It was surprisingly filling and the only minor spoiler was that the hotpot was rather small and I couldn't put all the food items at one go.

The menu offers an extensive range of Thai cuisine, and leaves one spoilt for choice.
We ordered the Pineapple Rice, Vegetables with Soft Tofu and Chicken satay.
The portions were huge and left no room for any dessert!
The Pineapple Rice had some special secret ingredient that made its taste extremely different from other types of Pineapple Rice tried.
The Chicken satay consisted of chunky skewers of grilled chicken , simply heavenly.
The Tofu with vegetables contained a good mix of vegetables, cooked just right.
Overall, it was a simple wonderful dining experience, ambience and all.
However, the service could be improved - staff on breaks refused to answer request from customers! That was the only spoiler to a simply sumptuous meal!
