I went there quite a long time ago for a birthday lunch of one of my friends. Our group was about 8 people who all love Thai cuisine. We ordered a wide range of dishes.... fried soft-shell crabs, creamy tom yam noodles, tom yam soup, pineapple fried rice, seafood fried rice, papaya salad ... and so on. As we were having a late lunch around 2:30pm, the restaurant was occupied merely by our group. Serving was quite fast. I would recommend clear tom yam soup from the shop which reminds me every time when I'm craving for tom yam soup. The delicacy of the soup was quite perfect though a bit spicy for those who cannot take spicy food. The cost for our group is about $120++ which seems affordable. The environment is quite cozy and nice to hang out for a group chat or discussion. continue reading

Seafood tom yum (clear)Sticky Rice is a Thai bistro, serving fairly traditional interpretations of popular Thai dishes. For seafood tom yum, you can choose between red and clear soup. We ordered the clear tom yum, it tastes sour, and slightly hot. I reckon it is better than the one you can get in Thai Express. The environment is a bit dim, but I guess it supposed to have a cosy effect. It is more cafe style than fine dining. continue reading

A small setting at the Clementi Mall basement selling Thai food.Pineapple Fried Rice @$8.90Nice presentation of the pineapple fried rice topped with some cashew nuts, prawn, slices of cucumber & tomato, meat floss and one whole bunch of spring onion. Taste quite good, just find it a bit dry and doesn't have the succulent and moist pineapple. Nothing to complain since its suppose to be Pineapple FRIED rice and not Pineapple riceLemongrass drink Good that we have the drink to accompany the fried rice. Drink was quite normal and nothing special. Saw a number of recommendation on their mango sticky rice dessert and soup, might be back to try it. continue reading

when i saw the restaurant name, i thought the place sell glutinous rice but instead they sell thai food with a bit of Peranakan touch to it. the food taste not too bad, quite tasty but the service is really too horrible. the staff were very lethargic when taking our orders and we waited for more than 30min for the food. i agree peak hour may have more customers so will take longer before the food can be served but the waiting time was just too long. and with the staff bad attitude, i wanted to just leave the restaurant without eating the food, so will never go back again continue reading

It's now rainy season in Singapore, and all you need is a hot meal that warms up your body. I got that comforting feeling after having a simple meal in Sticky Rice. They serve a wide variety of authentic Thai food. Good service too.For seafood tom yum, you can choose between red and clear soup. We ordered the clear tom yum, it tastes sour, and slightly hot. I reckon it is better than the one you can get in Thai Express. Red duck curry with lychees and grapes gives a good flavour. The sweetness of lychees and grapes blends in just well with the aroma of red curry. Yummy! A good dish to go with fragrant rice. However, it would be better if they serve more duck meats in the dishes. We also ordered the fried glass noodles with seafood. To our surprise, the noodles has some gravy. Very nice and moist! The seafood are fresh, and with some tomato cuts, fresh chives and eggs, it's a well-balanced dish. Simple and nice continue reading
