This Sushi Tei outlet is quite spacious and comfortable, with really simple and nice furnishings inside. The service here is very friendly and warm as well. Was craving for some sushi and decided to buy the Otoro, Uni, Ikura & Negi-toro sushi. For only $12.80, is quite filling and value for money. The japanese rice used is not too soggy and quite sticky, which is fragrant as well. Raw fish used was very fresh and firm in texture. The preseved gingers provided is appetizing and goes very well with the sushi.

When it comes to Japanese food, one of my favourite venue without fail will always be Sushi Tei. I can always be assured of the quality in the food. Recently i was alone after getting my errands done so i went straight for Sushi Tei as it was the non-crowded timing and i can enjoy my meal quietly. It's such a rare chance to avoid the long queue! I knew what i wanted so placed my order immediately when I sat down. I had both unagi roll and the fish roe chawanmushi. Unagi roll is good! Fresh unagi all rolled up with my favourite avocado, this was very enjoyable! Chawanmushi is always a classic choice and with all the beautiful looking roe on top of it, every bite was a wonderful bite of flavours bursting in my mouth!

As a japanese cuisine lover, this is my first time dining in Sushi Tei restaurant at Nex Serangoon Central. I ordered their nabemono, salmon , fried squids as well. The pot consisted of bean sprouts, tofu, green onions, leeks, carrots and mushroom cooked in sukiyaki broth which taste soothing and nice. The beef was sliced thinly and taste tender and fresh.

Offering reliable and pretty good food quality, it was one of to-go places in my list. Quite a number of branches in Singapore, Sushi Tei served a wide variety of mid-priced Japanese Cuisine. The service was prompt and staffs with positive attitude. My main course, it was a refreshing cold noodles with the shade of rich green colour. The Matcha scent was strong, I like its noodle tenderness. It was generally and absolutely healthy guilty-free. The broth was served along with the noodles, they were perfect matched. Made up grilled Salmon on top, it looked very luxury and tempting. Coated with Mayonnaise and Tobiko, the flavour was upgraded. The freshness was obvious. Price at $18.00, it consist of 6 pieces. Feeling satisfied throughout the visit, the price was affordable here too.

I'm a frequent visitor at Nex mall, and Sushi Tei has always been getting long queues at dinner hours, every single day. The first time I had my meal there, it wasn't exactly satisfying cos the conveyor belt dishes were horribly cold and limp. Despite that, I find that the ala carte dish was ok so I'm gonna give them a chance to redeem themselves.I arrived pretty early at 5.30pm and purposely requested for a table far away from the conveyor belt. They put me up at one quiet corner. The comprehensive menu has photos and description for every single dish on offer. They are having a 'Gastronomer fiesta' special offering designer dishes with premium ingredients. I ordered a premium maki dish from their 'House Specialty' section, two appetizers and one soup to go with it.Dobin Mushi soup 土瓶蒸し $6.80++. I love this soup, especially when its accompanied with loads of fresh ingredients. There was chicken meat, crabstick, enoki mushroom and kamaboko (Jap fishcake). Soup was sweet, light and flavorful...slurp!Phoenix roll $18++, served with one whole king prawn, generous portion of unagi and avocado slices, and drizzled with creamy mayo dressing. This dish was huge, with an impressive presentation to boot. The tempura king prawn was fresh, meaty and succulent, giving the maki an extremely crunchy bite. Coupled with chunky unagi and buttery avocado...it was an utterly satisfying dish. Highly recommended!Umaki $11++, Unagi wrapped with omelette served with unagi sauce. The omelette pieces were rather large as well. The egg was soft and lightly sweet, pairs well with the tender and juicy unagi slices in the center. Another of my fave. After having two big portion dishes, I'm almost filled to the brim. Luckily, the Gyoza $6++ came in dainty bite sizes! The gyoza was perfectly pan-fried till crispy with moist marinated minced pork filling inside. This dish should go well with beer. The unusual white vinegar sauce with chili oil was surprising good too.Service here was prompt and friendly. The ala carte menu is extensive and food quality is good. I think as long as I stay away from the conveyor belt, I'll be fine! Will come back again for more maki..For full review - http://midas400.blogspot.sg/2013/10/dinner-at-sushi-tei-nex.html
