My friends and I were cooking the meat and you can wrap up the oily meat in veggies and eat them, or just eat the meat whole.

When the foil is too used up, you can ask for service and an aunty will come and clean up the foil and give you a new foil, so you don't have to keep cooking on a burnt layer of meat.

Not a bad place for a meal, at almost $24 per person, it is not the cheapest either. The marinated BBQ meat are well marinated and taste great!

The major downside is that you smell of BBQ when you are done, your hair and clothes both!

Decided to try their buffet which is only available for dinner during the weekdays, and whole day for weekends. Of course, ala carte menu is available too throughout the week.
Most of the raw food (meat) looks appetizing to taken for bbq-ing, and the ready-cooked dishes doesn't seems bad either.
There is this huge plate of ready-cooked glass noodle, similar to the Chinese version of rice vermicelli. Wasn't really expecting any good taste out of it, thus it took me by surprise when after I tasted.
Ssamjang is a winning sauce in their restaurant, ideally for meat lovers! Indeed, the sweet taste of the sauce does enhance the flavors of the meat.
Kimchi Fried Rice, one of their other ready-cooked food, is kept in the rice cooker. Wouldn't mind scooping another bowl for it!
Another ready cooked food you should not miss is the fried chicken wing. I actually expected it to be dry and soggy type, but it went the exact opposite of my thoughts. Yummy!
I set my expectation pretty low, and I got surprised by the quality of the food and service provided. For the price of $31.98 (lunch), else $37.98 (dinner), I think it is still quite reasonable.
I believe most places might not even care, but The Corner Plae Korean BBQ's crew took the initiative to change the aluminium foil every now and then, when 70-80% of the foil is charred.

When it comes to something like Korean Barbecue, the quality and taste of the restaurant boils down to the freshness of the ingredients they use and the quality of their marinates since the actual cooking is done by customers themselves. In both these aspects, The Corner Place does fairly well.
The place offers a decent spread of raw meats and Vegetables coupled with a few cooked selections like Korean glass noodles, seaweed soup and fried wings.
In terms of the meat however, the Restaurant offers a more than decent selection of very fresh cuts. All the non-marinated meats were sliced finely but not too thin, making it both easy to control when cooking and easy to bite into for a flavorful burst when eating them...

My group of friends & I originally wanted to have steamboat at a restaurant but it was fully packed! We walked around with hungry stomachs and quickly settled on this Korean BBQ suggested by one of them. The dinner buffet cost $24++ which adds up to $30 after taking in GST and service charge etc. The place closes at 10 and the last order is 9.30pm! We reached around 8pm and quickly spam the meat! Out of all, my favourite is the beef, followed by fish and spicy chicken. I love korean seafood pan

The place closes at 10 and the last order is 9.30pm! We reached around 8pm and quickly spam the meat! Out of all, my favourite is the beef, followed by fish and spicy chicken. I love korean seafood pancakes but the ones are so disappointing. The rice cakes and kimchi are not bad though. Overall, one thing I like here is their standard of hygiene as they changed our foil on the bbq pan a few times. However, the quality of food is just average and not worth the price.

Too many people at the food court it was just painful waiting for seats. so we went on over to the corner place for some bimbimbap loving. this was $8.80 ++ for bimbimbap buffet. it sounded like... too much rice. thankfully not so. a very patient filipino staff got ready our tables and explained what our buffet included. which was basically the cooked meats, fried glass noodles, prawn crackers and all their ban chan salads. Rice and seaweed soup too of course. That's my round one and round two!

That's my round one and round two! The marinated meats are actually all really quite good.
tender slices of pork chicken and beef. my favourite's the pork though. and i love their brilliantly green cucumber slices. perfect palate cleanser.

they also have preserved spicy radish cubes, kimchi, beanstrips, beansprouts with mushroom and raw lettuce. eating my greens

For $10.90 nett, the food isn't half bad considering a bowl of bimbimbap outside retails for about $6-9 already. But the lingering smell of bbq is a bit of a concern especially if you're coming here right after a bath.

Overall, i find the quality of the food here was quite average. There are definitely better korean restaurants out there. Will only come back again for the quantity of food instead.

And below are some of the variety of food I took as I am way too busy eating

My most favourite dish has got to be the ginseng chicken porridge as it is so delicious and tasty!
I had a total of 5 bowl! That's how ridiculously nice it is and I will definitely go back for more again!!

And the tteokbokki is by far the nicest one I'd ever had as it is very soft and chewy!! And the spiciness
is bearable which is great for people who can't endure very spicy food like me.

Japchae! The most common local delight that never go wrong. Recommend to have some as appetiser before
you start swallowing BBQ meat down your stomach.

And the rice pancake which I find it alright just that it is a little bland however some chilli sauce with it taste out better!

I recommend you guys to try their kimchi & kimchi rice too as it is very delicious!

First plus point was that their grill plate is placed at an angel so the oil will drain off nicely.

2nd plus point is the good spread of food. I dare say the marinate is as good or better than seoul garden. After the feedback from patrons, the management really kept to it's promise of maintaining the food portions to at least 70% full. Even near closing time, the spread is still there.

We were done eating and then the staff asked if we tried their dessert drink. We were each given a glass of what looked like barley drink. But the taste was even better than barley. The chilled drink was super refreshing and not too sweet. If I weren't super full, I would have downed at least 2 more glasses!!!

3rd plus point was the GOOD service provided. They were prompt and good-natured about their services even tho there were many tables of customers.

I'll definitely bring my other friends to be impressed.

Being used to smell like meat after a round of huge buffet gathering of korean BBQ, this new place just opened at the corner of marina square food court (hence the name THE CORNER PLACE doh) it was a coincidence to be invited with a colleague to have dinner there.

Boy oh boy did I went wild.

With the indoor setting and in the mall, the place was much cleaner, cooler, and much neater. For $25, it's cooling and it won't make you smell meat after. Placement was neat but only the tables were fairly too small to occupy what cookeeatmonster eats.

The place to take your marinated meat and other carbo menu was minimal and clean, making it easy to know what is what, and what meat it is stated at the poster that labels which meat is what.

And the BBQ pit was ultra clean with the staff to change the aluminum foil each time the foil burns out, keeping your BBQ hygienic and edible and deliciously juicy. Service was pretty fast that night because there were lots of staff in hand while the place wasn't too crowded.

Samgyeopsal (pork belly) was juicy with the fresh cabbage with whole garlic just popping in your mouth with the soy paste is just... heavenly.

What's more is that for all K-pop fans, this is the place for you to gape and go fangirl as they always play the weekly music concerts on the big screen TV! Total heaven.
