I was attracted by the striking signboard of this stall that served the different types of Japanese Don. Most of the selection are reasonably priced at $4. A good portion of Japanese short grain rice was served with the egg and onion cooked in mirin based sauce. The piece of beautifully deep fried chicken cutlet was then placed on it. It was topped with a handful of shredded dry seaweed before served.

The texture of rice was nicely soft and rather moist too. The chicken cutlet was of the right thickness and fried well to give it a noticeable crispiness. It was then chopped into a few pieces. The level of saltiness of the mirin based sauce was just right and the egg and onion cooked in it was of a good amount.

The portion was enough for lunch.

A small bowl of miso soup was served along with the rice don. The miso soup tasted nice though a little saltish with bits of tofu and seaweed in it. It was served hot. That is definitely a good effort. I am very much against those lukewarm soup that i encountered.

I would not mind trying the rest on their menu next time.
