Bought a Deal voucher, where I can get swiss roll or 3 cream puffs for $4. Usual price for the swiss roll is $6, while cream puffs cost between $1.80 - $2, depending on the flavour.Instead of run-of-the mill vanilla & chocolate swiss rolls, here they have more unique flavours like matcha, orange & strawberry, peach pasion, besides chocolate.Got the matcha swish roll. Got the matcha swish roll. You can see the red bean paste in the centre. WHen I sliced the roll, texture was soft & fluffy. Matcha goes well with red bean, so this is indeed a good choice. I'll be trying out the other flavours soon.
The cream puffs were frozen, as they were taken out from the freezer. I asked the staff if I need to put into the oven toaster for a while to crisp the outer shell, he said 'No', adding that by the time I reach home, the cream would have thawed, & would be perfect for eating.
Real durian pulp were found in the durian puff. Smell o durian is strong too, & I believe no artficial essence needs to be used. WHile this is the best seller, my kids & I personally prefer the chocolate cream puff, which we find flavourful, with a more generous filling.
