The Taiyaki (Closed)

I did not expect to find a chocolate banana flavor fish snack at the taiyaki. Normally all the fish snack is the normal light brown colour, so when I spotted a dark colour one, I knew at first sight it was chocolate flavor. the filling was banana. The banana was quite sweet, it complements the chocolate outer coating really well. the chocolate outer coating of the fish snack was not too sweet too. it was really good.

i was shopping around ion with my daughter. We passed by the taiyaki and could not resist to grab one for our tea. we both ordered their custard flavor. the snack itself was shaped like a fish. Inside the fish, you can find the filling. The snack itself is very chewy. mine had quite a lot of charred bits. Nevertheless, the filling is really good. the custard is not too sweet. it is very smooth and creamy. goes well with the chewy exterior.

i love the fish snack from ion orchard basement. I bought their premium azuki flavour which is the red bean. They are very generous with the red bean filling. Their red bean paste that they added to the fish snack is really wholesome. The red bean filling is not too sweet as well. I like how chewy the snack is. It goes really well with the red bean. I can really taste they use really premium grade red bean cos it is really delicious.

My wife love taiyaki,so bought it for her I bought the red bean taiyaki for $1.80,which was a bit expensive compare to other storebut their taiyaki was full of red beansThe thin crust was quite crispy,must eat it while hot ,It's always long queues during lunch & dinner time!!

One of my fav taiyaki,It was recommended by one of my friendThey have a few favours & my fav is their chocolate banana creamThe pancake crust is crispy,They used half of fresh banana, with some fresh creamIT's not very sweet,just nice ,as the chocolate skin is abit bitter ,so it balanced the sweetness,But is a bit quite expensive,$2 for one For service i find that is just so so,the filipino staff was not very friendly,i got to keep repeat then she understandOverall i rate 7/10

The Taiyaki sells Japanese style crispy pancakes and these pancakes were all shaped as a fish. We ordered the Italian flavor crispy pancake. It consists of tuna, cheese, corn, tomato sauce and sausage. At first, I was pretty wary that the taste may be weird as each of these ingredients has its own unique taste. Nice fresh, warm pastries. Ooki is nice and cheap but not cooked as fresh as this place. This place cooks mostly on demand and hardly has anything sitting on the shelves. Their pastry is also bigger than Ooki's and crispier. The fillings are more innovative as well. Service is very bad sometimes, but the food is great. have to eat it hot or it will get soggy. After dinner @ ion,my friend saw this taiyaki so i bought 1 to try I saw them just cooked it,so i bought the red bean ,$1.80 for red beanis in fish shape,The skin of the taiyaki is soft,edge is crispy The red bean is soft & soggy ,too bad their filling is very little overall i rate 6/10

Taiyaki is a japanese fish-shaped pancake. The most common filing is the red bean paste that is made from azure beans and it is cooked to golden brown. And I have tried the chocolate banana! (though the photo doesn't show much. sorry) and probably the time i buy the teriyaki is the time they just cook the waffle. hence it is super nice! the banana filing fill up the whole waffle. the cust is not too thick, just right for me.
