Hearing how popular was Wingstop and its unique Fried Chicken, I went to Bedok to have a try. The Wingstop decor looked like a normal fastfood, the queue was short. I ordered the Teriyaki 6pc Classic Wings Set at $9.90, it came with a drink and 2 sides. The wait for the food to be ready was quite long, about 15 minutes. To my surprise, the 6 pieces Chicken Wings set was not 6 whole chicken wings but was break into 3 winglets and 3 drumlets. The size of winglets and drumlets was also quite small. The chicken wings smelt very nice with rich teriyaki sauce. The chicken wings were hot and crispy on the outside, but there was little meat. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and salty with a bit of caramel. However, I found that the taste of the teriyaki sauce was too salty. Overall, Wingstop Chicken Wings was not to my liking as the marinate sauce was too salty and the size of the wings were too small. continue reading

Wing Stop serves fresh, made to order (you guessed it) chicken wings that come in both boned and boneless variations. There is quite a wide variety of marinates to choose from and as far as I've experienced, most are quite good. The chicken served were extremely tender and chock full of natural juiciness. There isn't too much oil used which but rest assured, the wings are indeed properly fried for drool inducing purposes. For our full review with photos, please visit http://freshffm.blogspot.sg/2014/06/wing-stop-bedok-mall-worthy-stop-in.html continue reading

Wingstop was founded in 1994 in Texas, United States Of America, and has since grown internationally, opening its first store in Singapore Bedok Mall in December 2013. Wingstop specialises in American buffalo style chicken wings, offering made to order, freshly sauced and tossed chicken wings, smothered in a choice of 11 different sauces.Ambience at Wingstop is styled after 1930s American diners, small and cozy but with loud colours of red, white and green. Decor is aviation themed, with the Wingstop logo featuring a pair of wings. The choice / variety of sauces are also designed as logos, and used for decor. Furniture is functional but not too comfortable, similiar to other fast food franchises, and lighting is sufficient, though some areas fall in shadow.Wingstop is largely self-service. Order and make payment at the counter, then collect your own food. I do find staff to be quite knowlegable on the menu (it's a small menu), but what I really like about service at Wingstop is that they make each batch of chicken wings only upon order. Then they sauce and toss the piping hot chicken wings in your choice of sauce (choose from 1 of the 11 sauces), before buzzing you for collection. No heat lamps, no reheating, no microwaving! The star food item at Wingstop is their chicken wings and boneless chicken strips, covered in 1 of the 11 sauces. Each combo meal costs about SGD $12, and you can choose 2 different sauces for your wings / strips. Portion is sufficient for 1 person, and I love the crispness of the exterior skin, while the chicken meat within is still tender and juicy.A choice of 1 of 3 different sides to accompany each combo meal, either Potato Salad, Coleslaw or Fries. Of the 3 sides, I like the Potato Salad for its chunky, eggy potatoes, while I though the Coleslaw was a little too heavy on the sauce. The Fries are decent, with good potato flavour. The Wings Original Hot are done in the traditional American style of buffalo wings, with a strong tangy, sour, and spicy taste, and bright orange-red colour. The Wings Oriental Soy Pepper is a Singapore only flavour, with a peppery, salty, savoury taste, and deep brown colour. The Wings Teriyaki is a Japanese inspired flavour, with hints of sweet and savoury taste, and a light brown colour. The Wings Hickory Smoked BBQ is a Texas / American inspired barbecue flavour, with a bold, sweet, smoky and tangy taste, and deep amber colour.Full Wingstop review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2014/06/wingstop.html continue reading

It was last year when i won a pair of invites to Daniel Food Diary x Wing Stop event when they opened their first store here in Singapore. Was pretty fun cause first time i've attended such a food event. We got to try everything on the menu which is really awesome but because it was last year, i can't remember all the details for every flavour of the wings. But 2 things left an impression on me.Atomic Wings - I still remembered there was a challenge during the event for eating the atomic wings! This is the spicy version for the wings! I sure sweat when i eat this but i must say it's pretty good! Especially for someone like me who love spicy food. It's actually shiok and i miss it enough to plan a second visit back for it.Iced Lemon Tea - Was very surprised when i took my first sip! Not too sweet and refreshing. Definitely recommend this if you are getting a drink at Wing Stop. continue reading

Garlic ParmesanWas back to wing stop to try out the other flavors of their chicken wing! I have ordered a set meal and top up the normal fries to cheese fries and it was not bad. For the 6pcs chicken wings, it comes with 2 choices of flavors. I have ordered atomic (forgot to take picture) and garlic parmesan. And I gotta say I love both of the flavors! The atomic is extremely spicy and I like it a lot. If you are those kind of people who love spicy stuffs, this is made for you. The garlic parmesan gives a more neutral taste as compared to atomic. But it is also nice as the cheese blends well with the taste of the fried chicken. The chicken is tender and soft too. Really glad that wingstop has came to Singapore as it is really delicious. Will definitely return again! continue reading
