I visited Charly T's with some friends on a Saturday evening. I visited Charly T's with some friends on a Saturday evening. As i had made a reservation (which was required as i was using vouchers), we got our seats immediately upon arrival, in comfy corner of the restaurant.

I came prepared beforehand thus we knew that their signature chicken was the highlight. We ordered their quarter chicken in original recipe ($13) and seasonal recipe ($15), which came with 2 accompanying sides and 2 sauces. I took the chicken thigh served in their seasonal recipe. It was very tender and tasted absolutely well even without the sauces (original and sesame sauces were given), of a great culinary standard indeed! Among the 4 sides were butter garlic rice, macaroni & cheese, potato salad and green vegetables. We took the combination of butter garlic rice, macaroni & cheese and potato salad. The sides were delicious too, but i would prefer macaroni & cheese to be slightly cheesier.

For beverages, I tried their Mocha ($5) which was not a good choice as it tasted very normal. Would not be comparable to coffeehouse standards, thus better to give it a miss. Red Tang ($6.50) was an interesting bright red that came in cocktail glass, a nice concoction! Their float, coke with icecream, ($5.50) was not something out of the ordinary, but definitely great to satisfy the desire for some fizzy drink ocassionally. To complete the meal, we shared a vanilla flavoured icecream with martini and bits of strawberries and also an icecream sandwich - vanilla icecream wedged between 2 pieces of crunchy raisin cookies. Icrecream was creamy and rich, yummy!

On the overall, the restaurant served great food but prices of beverages and desserts were quite expensive. Service wise, the waiters and waitresses had been prompt with their delivery and clearing of dishes, nothing to pick on! Thanks to BigDeal food voucher, we paid only half of the price! Cheers to all thewonderful deals in Singapore!
