We start the meal with the tossing of the raw fish salad, which is quite a common dish during the chinese new year season. It tastes light and tangy. Next comes the soup, which we are served Mini Buddha Jump Over The Wall each. The soup is very flavourful, which some of us ask if there is a second helping. The big mushroom is the soup is quite juicy. For vegetable dish, we have Pan-Fried Scallop & Prawns Ball in Salted Egg Yolk with Broccoli. The vegetables are very soft and lack of crunchiness. Next we are served Steamed Soon Hock Fish in Light Soya Sauce. The fish tastes quite fresh and big too. This is follows with the Crispy Roasted Chicken with Sliced Almond. Expecting a whole roasted chicken, I am surprise to find sliced chicken covered with crispy almond slices. It tastes crispy and crunchy. For the noodle, we have Wok-Fried Mee Sua in Teochew Style. The noodle is well fried and very tasty. We end the meal with Sweetened "Cheng Teng" and New Year "Nian Gao". The nian gao is sandwiched between 2 slices of sweet potato and deep fried. A great combination of the soft and sweet nian gao, balances off by the crunchy sweet potato. Makes one want to have another piece.
Overall the food is great, but service is a bit uneven could be due to the fact that we are a large crowd.
