Bought a groupon voucher sometime back for desserts at Stateland Cafe located at the Bali lane, near the haji district. A very simple exterior but interior revolves around vintage-industrial theme. One of the cafe interior, is that of a little run down with worn out grey paint on the walls, a cement-looking floor and wooden benches and tables as furniture. A very different ambiance from the usual. There seems to be limited seating too, but not to worry, they have another unit just beside them.Th

The Classic Honey Toast ($11.90): It’s their signature toast. Toast baked with honey and salted butter topped with berries and served with scoop of honey gelato. Although toast is crispy, but it’s a little too hard and dense on the inside. It will be good if exterior is crispy and interior is softer. Very unique taste of honey gelato, very light and not too sweet.

S’MORES ($14.90): Dark chocolate waffle with toasted marshmallow, chocolate sauce and biscuits. Serve with a scoop of belgium chocolate gelato. Very chocolatey dish. In fact, i’m overwhelm with chocolates. The chocolate taste and aroma just burst in your mouth once you bite into the waffle. The toasted marshmallow is really good too, instant melt in your mouth. The belgium chocolate is rich, creamy and smooth. Has a slight bitter cocoa note at the end. But it’s almost impossible to finish it on your own, its good for sharing, as you’ll get sick of it after eating too much as the chocolate is too overpowering.
Generally, decent desserts for sharing, but not to finish on your own as it’s too heavy.
