The restaurant was located across the street from the Sembawang Shopping Centre, next to the well known White Bee Hoon. It was around 6pm, and there was also queues at a number of eateries nearby. We decided on this place as it offered dim sum items during dinner time. Only cash payment is accepted here. There is no GST or service charge. We were lucky to grab the one of the last few tables available in the main dining area. Looked like most of the tables were reserved for 7pm dinner. Customers
The texture was too mushy. It did not seem to have made inhouse. Most likely taken from supplier.
The pork was like pork chop with bone. The meat was tender and flavourful, encased with a light layer of crispy batter, topped with lots of crispy chopped garlic. Very yummy.
The dish was served with a boiled egg in it. Although braised with ginger and star anise, the flavour was not over powering and tasted with a touch of sweetness.
This was an interesting dish. The staff would pour the crispy rice bites on the boiling hot soup dish, causing the bites to sizzling on top of the dish. The dish was like teochew style savoury porridge, with dried seafood, crispy garlic, pork belly in it. Simple and home cooked feel.
The drink was not bad, not too sweet, although I wished that the ice cubes was separated from the drink.
