I was initially wary to go and try considering the mixed positive and negative reviews. Therefore when there was a 1-1 promotion for some of the mains, I decided to give it a try then.
I have all along been a frequent customer of Cedele as I feel that the ingredients are fresh and the food choices are generally healthy and taste good too.
Ordered the Duck Berry Waffle and Aglio Olio Pasta. The waffle was not hot enough when it was served and thus turned cold almost instantly after I had the salad which came along with the main. The duck was tender surely and I enjoyed having it with the Berry sauce but it was altogether a very small portion minus the bones. I wonder if it would be the same during the non-promotional period. I would rate this as just acceptable rather than being the Chef's recommendation item. The pasta was alright, done al-dente and the fish was fresh and went well with the herbs sauce on top of it. But the sauce was scarce and so it was too dry halfway through eating it.
The burger, on the other hand, looked unappetizing and was below expectations. The patty was dry but at least it came with a side sauce to complement it. The chicken wrap had tender meat slices mixed with vegetables but was nothing fantastic.Overall food quality was average but definitely not value-for-money if it were not for the promotion. Service here was terrible as we had to try so hard for a long while to catch the waiters' attention though there were only several customers. They were all mostly talking to each other with their backs facing the customers. Besides that, the service attitude was less than satisfactory, adding on to the unpleasantness of the overall dining experience. I would not be back to the restaurant again in the future. Quite a disappointing venture of Cedele.
