Located amidst a tranquil and laid back setting right in the heart of Dempsey Hill, CA California is where you could consider spending a lazy Saturday afternoon catching up with friends. Topped with caramelised shallots, this dish epitomised the unique combination of sweet with savory. The beef was springy and juicy, making each bite bursting with flavours. The mustard béarnaise sauce was a good complement to the beef as well. Highly recommended!
Smokin’ Turkey & Mango Sandwich ($15.80++)The turkey & mango sandwich was quite refreshing and tasty. The stacks of thinly sliced smoked turkey ham, fresh mango slices and rocket salad sandwich between two spongy pieces of tomato focaccia was a joy to savour. For those who prefer a stronger flavour, just drizzle the honey mustard dressing over and it’ll taste perfect!
The only downside we experienced was the slow service (we had to call out to the waiter more than 3 times to get our water refilled and that’s not during peak hours >.<). The waiters/waitresses seemed to dawdle around without paying much attention to the customers. Overall, a pretty decent hang out place that’s worth visiting a second time!
