Tucked hidden on the 2nd floor of Cuppage Plaza, this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. The atmosphere isn't exactly that of a high class restaurant, but who needs that 'atas' feeling when you have good food at a very decent price. A pretty popular venue for meals, most likely during meal times the restaurant will be packed and you would probably have to wait a bit to get a seat. This right here is a masterpiece. For $20, you can order the Nijumaru Bento where you get a bit of everyth
saba fish. The sashimi was decent, while the braised pork belly was heavenly and simply melted in my mouth.
One problem with Izakaya Nijumaru is that the menu is entirely in Japanese, but the waiters/waitresses are all extremely helpful and will patiently help you decipher and explain the menu items. The ambience more than made up for it and its a really good place for bringing friends and having a good dinner and chat thereafter.
