After hearing so much about this place, I finally headed down to the Holland Village's outlet to give it a try. I am not a fan of egg benedicts (thank goodness because I have heard of how sinful it is) so I got the Papillote (Smoked salmon with sour cream placed neatly on top of creamy scrambled eggs on toast)The partner and I found nothing special about this dish. It was a good combination though. The scrambled eggs tasted rather bland so it went well with the slight saltiness of the smoked sal

Sir Benedict $13 Mushroom sauce was drizzled over the mashed potato. It would have been better if the sauce was served hot as it seemed like it was left out in the open for some time. The poached egg met the mark. The runny egg yolk oozed out when the poached egg was cut open.
We also ordered a dessert of the week to try.
Blueberry Martini Trifle $8
Dessert was so-so only. It was a tad too sweet for my liking and I could not taste any hint of Martini. She finds it pretty good though.
Overall, it was quite a disappointment as I was expecting more after hearing how popular it is. Hatched is overrated in my opinion. There are definitely better brunch and all-day breakfast places around!
