I wanted to eat something Chinese so I had lunch at Lao Beijing. It's quite secluded at Orchard Central so it was not to crowded... which was good! I wanted to eat something Chinese so I had lunch at Lao Beijing. It's quite secluded at Orchard Central so it was not to crowded... which was good! Didn't have to wait or queue to get a table.

Anway, I had their pigeon soup. It was very hearty and it made me feel really warm inside. I like the bits of meat that come with the steaming soup. After that, I also tried out their BoBo Chicken . Its spring chicken marinated with their special sauce. It looks like the tonkatsu but of course, it was chicken. The breading was really crispy and gave the dish a lot of character. It was also served in a pretty way.

Last was the popiah. Here at Lao Beijing, they served it in one tray with all the ingredients. Then, it's up to you to prepare your own popiah. I like this kind of serving better coz I don't like all the things they put in the popiah such as nuts. Anyway, it was so fun preparing my own popiah. It was also delicious since it was made by me! Haha.
