My friend kept saying to me must try their tea cake and so I made an effort to walk all the way from Central to this deli and to try them out. My friend kept saying to me must try their tea cake and so I made an effort to walk all the way from Central to this deli and to try them out. I came just the right time when the baker was just about to finish with the last piping. I wanted to get more but was told must finish it within a day, so I only picked up 2 pieces and each at $2 abit on the steep side. Came home and took out 1 piece to try and have to agree the cake texture was soft and not very sweet and the center of the cake was filled with cream and it tasted so good, not heavy and it was better than fresh cream. But the only setback was, you have to tear the piece of paper in order to eat the cake and cannot be pushed out from the paper cup and you will find some sides of the cake stuck on the paper and came out together. I didn't let anything go to waste, I scraped everything from the paper!
