Since the first outlet in 2009 till date, Damien and Dawn have successfully expanded Joe and Dough to 8 outlets island wide. That's about 1.5 outlet in 5 years! On top of that, this home-grown cafe is a testament and pride of Singapore! During this Christmas season, Joe and Dough has come up with 2 special items: Turkey Ham and Brie ($9.5) and Valrhona Chocolate with Mixed Berries Cake ($6.8) and log cake at ($58).
We had 3 choices of sandwiches: Teriyaki Chicken ($7.8), Ham Cheese and Sundried Tomato ($8) and Turkey Ham and Brie.
The bread quality was surprisingly tasty. The crust was firm, dough was fluffy and light, pretty eating to bite through and a joy to eat.
The blend J&D uses consist of Ethiopia (a little wine note), Columbia (a little earthy and nutty notes), Brazilian (Cocoa note) and Sumatra (smoky/roast aroma) beans. Frankly, I could detect everything except for the nutty notes.
Coffee was packed with flavour! You gotta try.
