My boyfriend and I decided to dine at Ma Maison, after the long grueling hours of shopping around bugis! We came across this restaurant, hidden at a corner in Bugis Junction with an interesting name. The place is cozy albeit packed and diving into the dark enclaves of the restaurant and it's friendly service and ambience gave us a warm feeling. Escargot
We started with escargot cooked with butter & garlic. I never had escargot as i am not a very daring eater, but this was surprising good! It was simple and delicious. Both of us cleaned the plate up in seconds. I only realised that they were in fact snails after eating them, but thankfully, my boyfriend lied to me and said it was actually some kind of shellfish, else i wouldn't have enjoyed it. When did snails taste so good i'll never know.
My boyfriend had the steak, that came with a sunny side up on top, topped with french fries and greens!
I guess the escargot made the biggest impression. When i go back there again i'll be sure to try out some of their other specialties!
