We love Maccha House, both for its delectable offerings of matcha related treats and tranquil dining atmosphere. Highly recommended for those who simply wanna spend a quiet afternoon catching up with friends over tea right in the heart of Orchard Road. Tonkotsu Raman ($13.90)Their Raman is light yet flavourful. The black garlic oil drizzled over the soup base truly brought out the full essence of this Raman. The noodles were fine and chewy while the char shu was quite tender and not too fatty. O

The noodles were fine and chewy while the char shu was quite tender and not too fatty. Overall, a tasty bowl of Raman which was a joy to savour.
Anmitsu Shiratama ($9.40)A really lovely dessert to complement the main. The Matcha ice cream served with azuki beans, green tea jelly, kanten jelly, assortment of dried fruits and rice flour dumplings was simply heavenly. The ice cream was rich and exceptionally smooth. Though this dessert came with a hefty price tag of almost $10 per set, I thought it was money well-spent given the high quality of ingredients used.
Maccha Tiramisu ($6.90)This paled in comparison to the Anmitsu Shiratama. The Tiramisu, albeit its picture perfect presentation, was a disappointment. The only matcha in it was the thin layer of matcha powder sprinkled onto of the cream filled cake. The Tiramisu itself was overpoweringly creamy and icy hard (perhaps it was left in the freezer for too long?) The layer of sponge cake was barely detectable and was not the moist and airy type we were expecting.
Overall, it was still a rather satisfying meal. Will definitely be there when the craving for matcha strikes again!
