Couldn't wait till the month/start of mid-autumn festival. So must savour some of the best mooncakes in town first while it's fresh now! normally mooncakes are out selling 2 months ahead of the festival.

These are mooncakes from Xin Cuisine Chinese restaurant. There are 4 pieces in a box. 2 single yolk in white lotus paste and 2 white lotus paste without any yolks selling at S$50++. I still prefer the traditional mooncakes as compared to variety i.e green tea, durian etc...

Their white lotus paste mooncakes is of superior quality with fresh, smooth and fragrant lotus seet paste used. Skin of the mooncakes are intact and will not break easily with my first bite! Even the lotus paste is not sticky on my teeth as compared to others. Although it's only single yolk, the yolk used is quite big i must say so i don't feel much difference with double yolk! Not to forget the "kua ci" inside the lotus paste too! it's fresh and crunchy too! simply yummy!
