A good Sunday will be one that you wake up and go to a brunch or buffet! Grand Park City Hall is sure one that have the right vibe on a bright Sunday! The atmosphere is just so nice, I just feel like I am at some holiday at some hotel very lay back. Probably because most of the service staffs are Filipinos and their services are very sincere. Their lunch buffet is at $46 and it comes with free flow of soft drinks and hot beverages. For that price, there's cheese, salad, seafood, sushi, soup, some Asian delights and desserts selections - cakes, kuehs and ice cream.
The salads choice is quite a spread, there's tuna, egg, potato, chicken and some other salad. I like the Caesar Salad the most as there's this bowl in front whereby you can DIY your own Caesar Salad adding bacon bits, cheese and etc.
Potato Leek SoupThe taste is quite similar to cream of mushroom, if you like mushroom soup then this potato leek soup will probably suit you. Although there's leek in it but there's not much leek taste in it, you wouldn't notice it is leek soup. Nice!
Sushi here is very decent! It is as though you go to a Japanese Restaurant.
Clockwise: Tofu, Pan Fried Fish, Chicken Pasta, Vegetables Curry with Rice and Prawn with Wasabi Sauce.Every dishes on this plate is good! It is very rare that you get so many great food over at the hot selections for a buffet.
The Mee Siam is one that you can die for! It is way to excellent! Usually when I go to buffets whereby they have this live stations for local delights it doesn't taste that nice compare to a hawker stall but this Mee Siam outdo the hawker stall Mee Siam! The gravy is sour-sweet which make it very appetizing.
You can find all kind of egg tarts here: Kaya, durian and the Portuguese. And thiere's this Bandung Kueh that is quite creative. The cakes here are okay, if I have any disappointment that will be the cakes.There's four choices of ice cream to choose from: coffee, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Plus you can add different toppings on the ice cream!
Overall, the range of food here isn't a wide spread but there's quality in most of the food they serve so it is more of a less quantity and good quality. And it depend on the individual, if you are not into sushi, salad and cheese then you might not find it worth it here.
