My husband recommended me to this stall as it used to be one of the best popiah stall in Toa Payoh. The stall was run by an old man in the past but later I guess he has passed on to his children, as the old man is no longer seen at the stall.I think the popiah is not as fantastic as in the past. Although the ingredient is nice but not hot enough, moreover the popiah skin is too thick & dry as it takes a bit of time to chew before swallowing it. I think the popiah is not as fantastic as in the past. Although the ingredient is nice but not hot enough, moreover the popiah skin is too thick & dry as it takes a bit of time to chew before swallowing it. As you can see in the picture, the filling is too little & popiah is poorly wrapped. I don't mind paying slightly more if the filling is hot & wrapped fully.
