I have seen the cafe here change hands several times. At times it was even vacant for a while. For this recent revamp, they have started to offer their food at slightly more affordable prices. Granted, it is of course not as cheap as the food court below. - Daily home-made soup setsI thought their soup sets were quite worth it but I did not fancy the soup for today, so I ordered the chicken chop instead.
The chicken chop was very tender but I was puzzled that a teriyaki-like sauce (a bit on a the sweet side) was given instead of the mushroom sauce. Fries were slightly over-fried but still ok. The side salad was "japanese-like" and was a rather nice change from the usual run-of-the-mill coleslaw given elsewhere. Generally not bad, might be back to try their soup sets on another day. Thankfully there's no service or gst charge imposed on your bill.
