Located at Punggol East, Uncle Leong Seafood Restaurant is easily accessible by LRT (nearest stop: RIVIERA - Exit A). The restaurant looks pretty new and spacious. You can choose either indoor with air-con or outdoor facing the river. Shimmering Sand Crab Delight is one of the Uncle Leong’s signature dish. It's definitely a must try dish I reckon. The buttery creamy sauce is rich and coated the crab so well, the additional dash of cereals gives a hint of sweetness to the overall good flavour. Th
Shimmering Sand Crab Delight is one of the Uncle Leong’s signature dish. It's definitely a must try dish I reckon. The buttery creamy sauce is rich and coated the crab so well, the additional dash of cereals gives a hint of sweetness to the overall good flavour. Thumbs up! If you are big fans of crab, you won't stop with just one crab dish of course. Another highly recommended crab dish is the Claypot Crab Bee Hoon Soup. The soup broth has the natural sweetness from the seafood, it looks creamy and rich but in fact it's quite light and tasty to sip on. Guinness Pork Ribs is one of my favourite dish. The juicy tender pork ribs are glazed in the caramelized Guinness beer, beautifully presented with a subtle flavour. Deep Fried Beancurd is yummy too. The homemade tofu is a blend of tofu with fish and prawn paste, steamed to set before deep-fried to give the crispy texture. Moreover, the lemony sauce matches the tofu perfectly. Red Garoupa that we had is so fresh! The cooking time is handled well. The minimal ingredients used let us taste the natural freshness flavour of the fish, nice. Fortune Chicken is pretty alright. The chicken is stewed with lots of Chinese herbs, precious ingredients such as Chinese mushroom, sea cucumber, fish maw, abalone pearl etc. Very comforting and satisfying. Chinese Spinach with Eggs is pretty ordinary. The gravy is cooked with three different types of eggs: duck egg, chicken egg and century egg. The dish is finalized with some deep-fried white baits on top to give an extra crispiness. The meal ended with the dessert: Yam paste. The yam paste is well-done, smooth and of good flavour. However, the sauce that goes with it is slightly too sweet, and I reckon that affects our taste on the authentic yam flavour. Overall speaking, Uncle Leong Seafood provides quality seafood dishes and good dining ambiance.
