After dinner nearby, my parents and I were walking down the rolls of food stalls when we decided to get some soya bean and you tiao from the Selegie Soya Bean stall at Hougang St 21.The soya bean milk(hot) was thick and rich, and unlike those you get in the coffee shops that are watery and tasteless, this soya bean milk was packed with rich soya bean flavor.I was disappointed with the you tiao however as the you tiao were cold and very hard- not at all crispy and fluffy like it should be! I was disappointed with the you tiao however as the you tiao were cold and very hard- not at all crispy and fluffy like it should be! Maybe they should have given the you tiao a quick dip in hot oil before serving them to the customers!
