From 11 to 13 April, Old Hong Kong Legend has a special menu prepared especially by Michelin Star Chef Ng Sui Hong and executive Chef Yau Chin Ping. =) Being a fan of Hangzhou cuisine I just had to try it out. And so, I went to their newest branch at Raffles City Shopping Center. It was during lunch time so there weren't many people dining. It was good for me and my friend since we didnt have to wait long to be entertained.I then ordered the Michelin menu they have. It was a bit expensive, yes,
I then ordered the Michelin menu they have. It was a bit expensive, yes, but anyway the menu consisted of six dishes. If you think about it, it was a good deal already. As for the food, I liked that the taste was subtle. It wasn't too overwhelming to the palate. I enjoyed the Bird's nest soup because it was very fulfilling. Each spoonful was just enjoyable because it was so thick and it was filled with egg bits!
The appetizer of Abalone, Kalimeris, and Bean curd also deserves a mention because it was cooked just right. The abalone was very meaty and juicy. It was balanced by the Kalimeris which was very light when you bite on it. Its dryness was then complemented by the juicy beancurd with tofu. For me, it was the perfect ensemble.
