Decided to have dessert at Hediard after my mum Birthday lunch. Since we were all quite full decided to order 2 pastries to share. I also picked Hédiard blend of tea as my drink. It has chocolate cream filled in the choux pastry and topped with dark chocolate. They have another version which is the coffee cream I was told it is sweeter. It consists of layers of puff pastry sandwich together with cream and lightly dusted with icing sugar. The 2 pastry was not over powering sweet but it is quite expe
The 2 pastry was not over powering sweet but it is quite expensive at $6 a piece.
Hédiard blend
The tea is actually strong China black tea with sweet orange, lemon and bergamot.
This combination was not quite my taste even though I like bergamot fragrant. Maybe this is due to the smoky smell of black tea. After tea we pop over to the shop section to pick up some treats and gift. I picked this Delicate Lace Biscuit with cashew nut thinking it could be hard but it turn out to be small bit size of harden caramel with tiny chopped nuts. In fact it was crispy and easy to bite, nice to go with coffee as a little treat.
Expect to pay a premium price at these shops as most of the items are imported
