Had a mini birthday celebration with a dear friend @ Au Chocolat today. Was quiet surprised how big it was. Apart from the bistro itself, they have a bakery and a gift shop! I was pretty impressed with the french inspired interior design as well! And yes dont be alarmed if you notice a toy train choo-chooing away above your head!! Took us quiet a while to finally decided on the Classic Burger & Au Chocolat Signature Burger.
I should have came with an empty stomach! The Classic Burger portion for me was HUGE! The meat patty was really generous! And when i thought no burger could get any bigger than that.. along came Au Chocolat Signature Burger. Its the Eiffel Tower of burgers. My friend had a hard time figuring out how to eat it. It looks too good to eat too. Just picture sun dried tomatoes with thick beef patty, covered with melted cheddar cheese, top with a big juicy portobello mushroom & crispy bacon served in a sesame coated bun. Does it not make your mouth watery?? As tasty as it seems, the portion was overwhelming for the both of us.
Their service staffs friendly and always on their feet. The bistro wasn't full during lunch, but they're always making sure that their customer's are happy dining. They even reminded me that i requested a birthday cupcake for my friend when i made the reservation a week ago.
Thankfully for the MBS staff discount, we spent a total of $45 only! The cupcake was on the house! How nice was that!
This was my first dining experience.. and it wont be the last! As the Terminator would say.. I'll be back!!
