"HANSANG Korean Family restaurant was opened in March 2007 at Novena. In Sep. 2008 , there was an expansion, resulting in a Korean snack corner being added. The size of the restaurant is approximately 3,000 sq. ft. with 150 seats and can be divided into 3 sections, namely the barbeque section, a la carte and snack corner.

At the barbeque section, top quality meat and seafood is selected and marinated in traditional Korean sauce, then barbequed over a hot charcoal grill to create a smoky, rich flavor. The experienced, native Korean chefs at HANSANG may prepare some dishes not written on the menu for customers who make special requests." Adapted from various online sources

I'm think this is a different version of Bibimbap. First, the rice is cooked in a hotpot which is then transferred to to mix with vegetables and meat. Hot water is then added to the remaining rice at bottom of hotpot, which makes it into porridge. And we agreed that the 'porridge' tasted better than the main dish.

Perhaps, having too much of 'fanciful' food makes us yearn for the traditional ones instead
