Lao Beijing offers both ala cart and high tea buffet. i tried their high tea buffet, was not really very impressed cos of the limited choices. however the xiao long bao was free flow! the xiao long bao i must say is quite delicious. love the soup inside the bao! yummy! they have a plenty of different dumplings cooked in different form to choose from. my fav is the shrimp, pork and chive guotie. the shrimp they use are really fresh and crunchy. the soup inside the dumpling is very tasty as well.t
their zha jiang mian is also very yummy. totally fell in love with their meat sauce. not too salty yet taste just right. the noodles are handmade if i am not wrong, very QQ.
their chives and vegetable pancakes taste a little like roti prata with add chives and vegetables. but nevertheless, it taste really fragrant and delicious.
on weekdays, the buffet is cheaper than that of weekends. foodwise not much of a difference.
a great way to enjoy a lazy afternoon!
