Shang palace has the nicest dim sum I have ever had! Especially love the liu sha bao which is only steamed when you call for it so that it arrives piping hot and molten inside. The salted egg custard is slightly savoury and sweet at the same time, while the bun is fluffy and absolutely delicious! Although rather pricey being in shangrila, Shang is definitely worth a try at least once!
Make sure to get the char siew baos too! They are the best around in my opinion!

12 cupcakes are super pretty! They are all well decorated and very attractive looking making them perfect as a gift! The cupcakes are soft and fluffy and moist while the frosting is smooth and absolutely delicious. I really like the red velvet cupcakes with the strikingly red colored cupcakes contrasting with the smooth fluffy cream cheese frosting. slightly tangy yet sweet enough! The only thing is that they are quite expensive considering they are so small in size!

Qiji popiah is one of the best I have Eaten! Despite having many outlets the quality has always been maintained! The popiah is filled tightly with turnips and also has lots of crunchy bits for contrast in texture. The turnip filling is juicy and flavourful, while the peanuts add extra flavour and fragrance. The skin is chewy and resilient and holds the filling well. Even when taken away and left for awhile, the popiah doesn't become soggy and the skin holds up well, not soaking through.

Ordered the chicken karage when I came here for dinner! The chicken was better than expected, being served piping hot and freshly fried. It was crispy on the outside and really moist and juicy on the inside. Each piece of meat was really flavourful, and I really liked that they are the perfect size so you get a good crunch to moist chicken ratio. Overall ichiban boshi is a good place to go for consistently good japanese food

came here for breakfast over the weekend. Ordered a caramel frappe and a fruit salad. Fruit salad was refreshing and all the fruits were juicy and sweet. Being cut into dices made them easy to eat. The frappe was really yummy. Topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce that upped the intensity of the caramel flavour. The coffee was ice blended making it really nice to have on a hot day as a way to cool down
