My wife and I find the food at the Foodcourt in Clementi Mall to be too pricy, hence we made our way to the coffeeshop here. I orderd a plate of chicken rice for myself and I was surprised that they actually separated the chicken from the rice. The chicken dish had a bit of gravy in it and the gravy includes sesame oil as the sesame oil taste is very distinct. The chicken meat is hence very flavourful as it had absorbed much of the gravy in the dish. For the rice, it is very tasty as well with the fragrance from the chicken stock. It is great enough to have it on its own without chili, but the chili helps to add a sourish and spicy tang to the rice. The portion is quite worth it as well, I paid only $4 for this.

My colleagues and I went for a drink and snacks at Hooters. The waitresses there are dressed quite openly. I guess that is the draw of the restaurant so as to attract people to dine in there. We ordered their chicken wings which seems to be present in most tables. The wings come in a few sizes, we ordered 20 pcs of two different flavours, the Habanero BBQ sauce and the traditional buffalo hot sauce. The chicken wings are really tasty. The chicken meat is tender, the skin is crispy and the sauces are nice as well. I especially love the BBQ taste from the Habanero BBQ sauce, it is very unique and one of its kind. The other dish that we ordered was the steam shrimp. Although steamed, the shrimps are flavoured with some spice. If you find the taste to be not enough, you can dip it with their cheese dip or the other dip which I can't really identify what it is. The food is slightly expensive though but alright since it is shared among quite a lot of people.

I am normally not a fan of bubble teas but my children introduced me to this drink to try and once I tried it, I was hooked. The drink that they got me to try was the Black Tea Macchiato. I ordered the $2.40 portion and the tea is unlike the normal teas. You will need to sip off the layer of milk at the top and then drink the tea. It is quite special as other teas will normally require that you shake the cup but not this. I find that the milk at the top is pleasantly sweet and smooth and it is very tasty. The tea at the end was quite refreshing and not too sweet. I had mine at 50% sugar level which I find it just right for me.

I was not feeling too hungry so I decided to order noodles instead of rice for lunch. The minced meat noodles from this stall looks quite nice hence I ordered a bowl of minced meat noodles at $3. It also comes with soup. The minced meat noodles are mixed with vinegar, oil and the braised mushroom gravy making it very savoury. I also mixed in some of the belachan chilli which is quite spicy for me as I do not really take too spicy food. The ingredients like the sliced meat, minced meat are reasonable for the price paid and it is already slightly flavoured. The braised mushrooms are quite salty so I paired it with the noodles to eat. Overall, it is great for the price and taste of the food.

This ice cream store has been around at Takashimaya for quite long but this is my first time ordering from them. There are lots of different flavours available and the good thing is that you can request for a sample so that you get a taste of the ice cream before buying it. The flavour that I got in the end was the rum & raisin flavour. The ice cream is very smooth and milky. The rum taste is not very potent so I would think even children can enjoy this. I am looking for a more potent taste but I must say I still enjoyed this a lot even though the alcohol is not strong. The ice cream is not too sweet as well and there are quite a few plump and juicy raisins. I saw a lot of people buying the green tea flavour so that will be the flavour I am going to try the next time I am there. A single scoop cost $3.80.
