Marina Bay Sands is one place i will like to avoid especially during peak hours cause it get super crowded with all the tourists and/or locals! But due to some unforeseen circumstances, i had to settle dinner at MBS with my friend.

Long queue when i reached but luckily there's a table available for us so my friend sat down first while i queue to buy food. Both of us had the same thing! Mee Rebus =) It's been quite a while since the last time i had mee rebus from Toast Box so i was happy to order this item.

It cost $8.20 for the mee rebus set meal and includes a drink! It's a pretty big portion and i love the way they did the eggs! The egg yolk is the soft soft kind i like =) Super shiok to enjoy it with my iced cold barley!

Dinner Smile Jan 10, 2014

All along i always wanted to plan a visit to Boathouse. So i decide to spend the first weekend of 2014 with a nice dinner at Boathouse with a friend =) The set dinner price actually looks very reasonable and you have a choice of 3 or 4 course meal.

But i took ala carte in the end cause want to order wine too and enjoy slowly. Started off with bread which was good despite having raisins in it. I can eat raisins but not a huge fan. Service was good and attentive. And surprisingly there wasn't much crowd on a Friday night.

For my main course i had this really yummy pan roasted Atlantic sea bass $32! There was some seafood underneath it and the cauliflower puree just created a very nice overall taste. I enjoyed every bit of it! Fish was very fresh too!

Overall it was a great experience and i will love to go back again.

Custard Bun OK Jan 09, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Coffeeshop | Dim Sum

When it comes to dim sum, custard bun is one of my favourite item. I'm so used to the oozing kind so when i tried the ones from this stall, i was surprised it's not oozing at all!

But luckily taste wise it's still not too bad. The portion was decent and the skin of the bun was pretty soft. I may try out the rest of the dim sum items for my next visit as i usually come to this coffeeshop mainly for the fishball noodle which is just next door.

Even though this coffeeshop only has about 4 makan + 1 stall but it's always crowded. Worth coming back to try out the zi char stall too!

Started my first day of 2014 with brunch at Sun Ray Cafe with some of my friends. Been wanting to come here for a long time and i was also following them on Instagram.

It's a pet friendly so great for pet lovers if you love to bring your pets along with you. They have 2 different section and i opt for the non-pet area. The waiting time for food took quite a while but no big issues on that. Now let's focus on the food.

For sharing, truffle fries $8 was the obvious choice. Came looking really nice and hot so we ate immediately as most of us are hungry already. Good choice and i don't mind ordering this again for my next visit.

For my drink i opt for Iced Shaken Mocha $7 and this is good! Strongly recommend this. Well balanced taste in a pretty good serving. Personally i find the amount just nice for me.

For my main, i was having a hard time deciding. Partly because i'm hungry and there was quite a few items that caught my eye. Haha! But my final choice went to a brunch item and i chose the American breakfast set $20 and i opt for scrambled eggs. Initially i thought the portion wasn't big but i changed my mind as i start eating. Quite a interesting mixture of everything.

The size of the bread was pretty cute in my opinion. Interesting mushroom as it comes in one whole piece and i forgot to ask what kind of mushroom was it. The rest of the items was good and i really enjoyed my meal.

Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom Smile Dec 20, 2013

I was very interested to try out their new item on the menu when i heard about it. Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom! Sounds good yah!! Personally i love my golden mushroom but first time ever i had it in fried version.

Wanted to try kimchi flavor but it wasn't available so i took sour cream instead. Taste ok to me! And the fried mushroom is really addictive. Even my grandma likes it =)

It's something i will surely buy again and this time I hope kimchi flavor is available.
