Previously it was a shop selling bak kut teh and western food. But somehow business here always don't stay for very long. Recently i noticed a new owner taking over and it's selling vegetable rice + zi char. 

Decide to try it one day and i ordered hokkien mee! Appearance wise, it scored some winning points. Looks and smell good! Taste wise, i think those who like their food strong flavored one will love it. And they are generous with their green chili. I like!! 

The quiet environment plus near my office appeals to me. May come back again to try out their vegetable rice. 

It's my first time back here after they revamped the whole place. I must say i like it very much. It's a nice refreshing change! 

Since i have a voucher with me for complimentary dinner, i decide to settle my dinner here. And so i ordered this cocktail called One & Only upon recommendation from the staff. For the food, i had the waygu mini burgers and cold cut platter.

Cocktail is very easy to drink! Fruity kind with enough alcohol taste. Please enjoy the waygu mini burger while it's hot. Really yummy and juicy. No complaints for the cold platter except for the salami. Too salty for my liking! 

And to complete the meal in such a cosy surrounding, i was a very satisfied customer and i will be back again =)

I always like to order sushi platter for parties! Got variety in a platter to suit everyone! And it's the month of festive celebration - Christmas! Sakae Sushi has a Christmas theme sushi platter. Look at the star shaped! Love it!

I used to frequent Sakae Sushi for their buffet but it gets less impressive as time goes by. But for their platter, so far hasn't disappoint me!

This is my 3rd visit to Danro. I remembered first 2 visits was pretty good and my favourite scallops were available. Don't know why but i really enjoyed the scallops in the various broth i've tried before.

For this recent visit, scallops was not available!! Was kind of disappointed but it also divert my attention instead to the cooked food which i usually hardly touch at all. I personally like the cold soba and special Onsen eggs. Very appetizing and refreshing! Tried some sushi and i like =)

But i'm not sure if i be going back again. May only consider due to it's location. Would prefer Suki-Ya!

For Ang Mo Kio area, i actually hardly venture into Broadway Plaza. It was only when my brother suggest having japanese dinner here with family then i stepped into the place.

When you entered the restaurant, it's actually not bad. Gives a nice cosy feel. I let my dad and brother do the ordering. We had the sashimi platter, garlic fried rice, fried tempura and some other items to share.

Generally the food are not too bad. For sashimi, i usually only like yellowtail and salmon and i find both very good and fresh. It's somewhere i don't mind coming if i'm nearby.
