My last visit to Nature's Vegetarian Delights was when they were still at the previous location and usually i only had the ala carte dishes like Claypot noodles ( my grandma favourite ), laksa, etc.

Recently was my first time visiting the new location at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre and also first time ordering so many dishes to go with rice. Well i wasn't the one doing the ordering so i do a rough description based on my pictures ok.

Bitter Gourd - This had mushroom in it and i really like the gravy cause goes well with rice.

Sambal Kang Kong - No complaints about this dish. Taste was just nice!

Ham & Cheese Wrap - Simple comfort food and can't go too wrong with this choice =) It's something you can just enjoy it on it's own.

Golden Mushroom with Pumpkin - I love golden mushroom and with pumpkin, it's a lovely combination! Seems like pumpkin goes well with lots of ingredients. Goes well with rice and good on it's own too. Yummy!

Sambal Fish - So much sauce until i almost couldn't see the fish and almost didn't know what it is! Haha. But this is another yummy dish! All along i like vegetarian fish and this is well done. Despite too much sauce, it does go well with rice too.

Roasted Pig - Despite being vegetarian, it's not too bad actually. More pigs are saved!

This will be a good choice if you want to have vegetarian food. Great variety whether you want to share or have it ala carte =)

Smoked Duck Wrap  Smile Mar 10, 2014

For a hot weather country like Singapore, whenever i want to get a cooling drink and Starbucks is nearby, i will like to get their Iced Shaken Lemon Tea ( Green Tea ). It's quite refreshing and easy to drink which i like.

Recently i was alone trying to find dinner after getting errands done and Wisma branch was very quiet on a Monday night so i decided to settle my dinner there. I opt for the Smoked Duck Wrap $10.50 =)

Quite a generous portion and when you cut it open, i was pleasantly surprised to see lots of spinach in it. Very good as it balance out with the duck meat! There was lots of purple sweet potato too overall taste is quite enjoyable when i pair it with the orange colour tangy tasting dip that comes with it.

When i want simple comfort food and yet have no idea what i want to eat, i will go straight for hong kong cafe for my nissin noodles.

Classic choice will be with luncheon meat and egg which will never go wrong! The one at Streats Hong Kong Cafe is pretty decent, it be better if it's more hot but overall taste is good. Soup base is quite nice too and the serving of vegetables is ok too.

Environment is actually not bad but there don't seems to have a lot of service staff around. The crowd was still ok when i was there so no complaints. But during peak hour, i hope they have more staff around to help =)

Hiyashi Kamo Soba

Hiyashi Kamo Soba

Hiyashi Kamo Soba $18.80 ( chilled noodle with roast duck & poached egg ). Was feeling hungry and yet want something refreshing so i instantly thought of chilled noodles cause usually can't go too wrong.

Roast duck itself was ok. I find it nothing too special despite being from France! The chilled soba and poached egg was actually more enjoyable. The dressing was good and definitely has the refreshing taste i wanted. Poached egg was done beautifully despite being not in a super pretty presentation.

Soba dishes here so far hasn't disappoint me yet. A trusty brand name i can count on for my soba cravings! =)

Bak Chor Mee

Bak Chor Mee

Any bak chor mee lovers should know about this legendary stall. I used to go often with my family or with one of my aunt who like to bring us here. It's been quite long since my last visit and last month i was quite glad to be able to try it again since i was nearby collecting something.

First time ever i had this for DINNER! Queue was reasonable but still had to wait cause everyone was like getting 2 - 4/5 bowls of noodles. But worth the wait for my yummy bowl of noodles!

I decided to order the smallest serving $5 one. I think i took a pretty good drool worthy picture of my bak chor mee. I requested for extra chilli and vinegar and it's SO SHIOK!! Simply enjoy every mouthful of it. Fresh ingredients really enhanced the enjoyment of my bak chor mee.
