Marble Butter Cake Smile Jan 15, 2014

I love such traditional butter cake. Whenever there's a wedding and we receive one, i be very happy! Nice presentable and yummy!

But if no wedding cake, you can always get one for $3.50! It's one mini block of marble butter cake. Take one bite to enjoy the nice buttery texture of the cake. Pair it with a nice cup of tea or coffee and it's great for anytime of the day!!

Sweet & Sour Pork Rice Smile Jan 15, 2014   (Related Review)

I usually don't take much rice unless the dishes goes well with it. For this sweet & sour pork rice, it's a great combination of everything - the gravy, yummy sweet & sour pork and the accompanying vegetables. For $4.50, it was a very good portion for me.

They did a pretty good job for the pork. Nice crunch to it and it also has a nice ratio of fats and lean meat. Right amount of gravy too! Even the rice i like it too. I like mine to be soft so usually i enjoy my Korean or Japanese style kind of rice very much. Their rice on that day hit the right note with the right level of softness!

So overall i really enjoyed my lunch on that day =)

Hot day = i will think of cold ice cream to enjoy while i quench my thrist!! I usually like to go for chocolat ice cream first but at Anderson's, the macadamia one somehow appeal to me. One topping is included and i will get chocolate =)

It's really nice to enjoy the crunchiness from the macadamia nuts + yummy ice cream in this way. Best combination i can get! Till now it still remain as my favorite whenever im here.

Prata Lunch OK Jan 14, 2014

Categories : Indian | Coffeeshop

Wanted something simple for lunch and prata came to my mind when i saw Haji Karim! Sat down and ordered two pieces of prata ( 1 plain & 1 egg ) + teh tarik. Spent $3.30 for my lunch.

Verdict : not nice! Ok, it's decent but i rather spent the money on something else. Prata was cold, teh terik was lukewarm but still acceptable. Curry too watery. Guess i won't come back again for prata

Vegetarian Lunch Smile Jan 14, 2014

For Mediterranean inspired vegetarian meal in a casual dining experience, Pita Pan is your choice! I've heard about this place before but didn't know it's vegetarian. It was during one of the Christmas gathering last month then i get to visit this place.

At first glance for the menu, looks pretty good and i was aiming at a few items already. And turns out my friends had the same taste as me! So we got 3 items to share - Mediterranean Platter, Sweet Potato Fries and Red Shakshuka.

Mediterranean Platter $26.90 - This is great for sharing and when you want to try a bit of everything. Hummus, baba ganoush, dolma leaves, Jerusalem salad, olives and chillies served with 2 freshly baked pita, with our choice of crispy falafel balls! Some of these tasted very appetizing so it balance out the whole meal quite well.

Sweet Potato Fries $7.90 - This is simple and yummy! My friend's little girl keep eating this. Haha!

Red Shakshuka $11.90 - This caught my eye when i saw the picture on the menu! Quite eye catching with the colour contrast. This is good too and i love the eggs + it goes well with the pita bread!

It's a place i will definitely be back again as the price is reasonable too after discount with my DBS Amex card.
