For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2014/03/salt-grill-sky-bar.html Decided to have a wonderful dinner on a special occasion, and was hesitant in getting LeVeL 33, or Salt grill. But after deciding that an indoor and window seats would be a better option for me to overlook the night city, Salt grill won! By walking to the right side of the level 4 concierge, there will be a Salt grill counter, where you will be brought to the lift that took you all the way from level 4 to level 55/56! Lift is not brightly lilted, but brings you a classy feeling. Tapas: Salt & Pepper Squid ($28.00). Crispy outer, firm and bouncy squid meat. I can just spend my whole day feeding my stomach with this Appetizer: 'glass' Sydney crab omelette, enoki mushroom & herb salad, miso mustard broth ($33.00). I love the appetizer.. really!! The omelette and the crab wrapped within are so mushy! Side: Truffle oil and parmesan French fries ($14.00). Honestly, the serving is pretty big for 2 pax... It is delicious, and we never had this cleaned. Main: Pollock ($57.00). I love the crunchy prawns, but Barramundi fish is pretty bland yet tender. Main: Tasting of pork - confit belly, braised cheek, bacon wrapped loin, spring cabbage, apple ($70.00). This is my recommended main if you were to ask me. Sinful as it may seems, but once awhile doing a little harm to your healthy intakes can be treated as a reward? Dessert: Souffle ($22.00). On a serious note, I totally dislike this dessert. Too watery… Dessert: Chocolate delice, salted caramel, honeycomb, praline ice cream ($22.00). This could be my first time trying honeycomb, and I am surprised by the mini poppings in my mouth! For more details, please visit www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/menya-koji.html Assari Mini Spicy Miso Ramen ($9.50). This spicy salted flavored soup ramen comes in a "larger" version ($13.80) too, but with flavored egg. Original Miso Ramen ($14.90), which they also have in mini version ($9.90) without flavored egg. Salmon Sashimi ($8.80). I like their salmon here, as I don't get the strong fishy taste as I get from other places. Black Pepper Chicken Wings ($8.80) with sweet shoyu sauce. Just the photo itself should be able to justify how tasty it is! I love tender and juicy chicken wings Mentaimayo Gyoza ($6.80 for 6 pieces). Salted cod roe pan-fried dumplings with spring onion and mayonnaise. Gyoza is not as crispy as I would love to have, and fillings are mostly spring onions. But it isn't dry at all... Plus point! The ramens are not really that delicious.. But their sides do deserve a thumbs up If I were to return again, I definitely will not skip the sides! For more details, please visit http://www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/the-coffee-shot.html All-Day Breakfast Had the Caffe Latte ($5.50) which I heard was nice, and Honey Con Leche ($6.50) which tasted much like milk tea, with a litte honey taste in it. Not really my cup of drink though. If you are one of those alcoholic lover, the rest of their specialty drinks should be in your order-list! Scramb It! ($16.90), having scrambled eggs, pork bratwurst, honey baked ham, toasts, roasted tomato and mesclun. Scrambled eggs seems to have been left out of the pan for some time already, though it is still mushy.. But I do love their toasts, as they are crispy on the outside, and soft in the inside Next is Cajun Spiced Chicken ($14.00), having boneless chicken thigh, mesclun and spicy bbq sauce. Dish presentation looks pretty neat, and cajun chicken is tasty too. But rice is tasteless… Also had the Old School Bun ($6.50), which is just omelette with ham, and a little of mayonnaise.. Simple bun, yet satisfying. Food has no "oom" factor, though the sausage and cajun chicken meat itself can be quite tasty. Moreoever, food took quite some time to arrive even though tables weren't even half-filled after I ordered the food. Drinks took some 10 minutes or so to arrive as well. But generally, this place can be a nice cafe for some old school essence For more details, please visit http://www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/the-coffee-shot.html Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/necessary-provisions.html It isn't a spacious place, and more like a communal place, where people can sit together, have a chat and do some reading or school work.. We ordered Houjicha Karigane Cold Brew ($6.00), Iced Latte ($5.50), and Freshly Squeezed Orange + Grapefruit Mixed Juice ($6.00) for drinks. I didn't get to try the Houjicha, but received feedback that it is bland, and almost tasted like plain water? Iced Latte is pretty good, and so is the Mixed Juice Menu is "Pte Ltd" kind. Say like, only 8 items to choose from (excluding pastries) in the day, and 9 items for dinner menu. Even so, we took a long time to decide on our food..... Toast with Cashew Butter and Jams ($4.00). A pair of toast for this price is definitely not worth it, and not what we have expected it to be. But, their bread is really awesome! Banana Nutella Panini ($5.00). We believed this can be easily made from home, which is sandwiching banana and nutella in between. Or perhaps anything that goes with nutella can never go wrong? Beef Pastrami, Brie and Whole Grain Mustard ($9.00). Another to-go for item! I am glad I chose this for my main Their sandwiches seem satisfying, where the downturn is their "super" limited menu. But this place is a definite place to relax, sit back with your laptop or devices while enjoying a plate of pastries or a cup of drink to spend your time away For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/necessary-provisions.html Table Wait Time: 3 minute(s)

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/03/mama-panda-kitchen.html When River Safari first opened its doors to public, no doubt pictures of panda pau were running hysterically in instagram. I find it pretty cute, and decided to queue for it, where the queue was pretty "short"... for a normal working day, Monday... They have two flavors for the panda pau, which are red bean and chocolate custard. Red Bean Panda Pau ($2.90/ea, $11.50 for 4). Expect nothing, but a cute panda pau, with normal serving and the usual taste of red bean we have in coffeeshops. Ordered the Crispy Chicken with salt and pepper ($6.90). Chicken meat is quite tender, and not bad though. Perhaps one of the few dishes worth ordering? Longan Beancurd ($2.90), and Mango Pudding ($2.90). Longan Beancurd taste of almond, and comes with two longans residing at the bottom. Beancurd quality is firm, unlike those we usually have.. erm... not to my liking... Mango Pudding is average too, but at least better than Longan Beancurd. Sweeter? Personally, food here is pretty average, and not worth the wait if it’s going to take ages for one to be even near the ordering counter. The only thing that might interests one, could be the panda pau which just seems to be an overpriced normal red bean pau.
