For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/11/street-50-restaurant-bar.html I didn't quite favor the location of the restaurant, which is like less than 5 steps to the lift, as well as the door to the entrance/exit. Forest Mushroom soup ($9.00) is a veloute of wild mushrooms with a melange of garlic croutons, cream and chives. Fisherman's Net pizza ($18.00) made up of prawns, squids, mussels, mozzarella and grated lemon zest. Comes along self-service of cheese and chili pepper. Totally thumbs! Duck Pot Pie ($22.00) is slow braised duck in rich wine sauce with vegetables and spices in a baked shell. I love the thick gravy and braised duck meat is soft and tasty.. Empty bowl as a result. Cod with Sauce Vierge ($28.00) is pan-seared cod fillet with sauce vierge servd with panache of vegetables and aligot potatoes. Durian Pengat ($8.00), which is one of the popular dessert there. It is luscious durian pulp cocooned in crepe. Durian pulp is sweet and thick, and pretty awesome for the durian-lovers. You will also be provided a complimentary parking ticket, so less the worry about parking at Bay Hotel For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/11/street-50-restaurant-bar.html Date of Visit: Nov 16, 2013 Other Ratings:Taste 4 | Environment 2 | Service 4 | Clean 3 | Price 2Recommend 0 |
You can order either ala-carte or bento. Like the feel of the wooden board as frame for their bento menu. While the ala-carte menu is in hardcopy. Lining first, is Tokyo Ramen ($8.00) from the ala-carte menu. Ramen topped with char siew, spinach, fishcake, dried seaweed, bamboo shoot, and served with home-made soy-based broth. I love their broth, although it was salty to a certain level. Char siew is also another saviour to the overall dish as the noodle feels a little tough, as though not thoroughly cooked yet. Following is Bento C ($12.90), from the bento menu. It has grilled chicken teriyaki, saba shioyaki, chawamushi, rice & soup. Chicken is yummy with a tinge of barbeque taste! Finally, from the ala-carte menu as well, is the Shio k!!! Maki ($16. They have two versions of the Shiok!!! Maki, but we had the first generation, which is combination of charcoal grilled eel wrapped with lightly roasted salmon. Roe was not the best I had, but overall this is still one dish that I could not stop with just a quantity of one... The second generation which we gave a miss, is actually replacing eel with crispy prawns. After some temptation, decided to give Doutor Coffee a try, which is just at the lobby of my office tower... Wanted to order pancakes, but the cashier switched the menu to another type which totally puts me off. Its for lunch Without any choice, I changed to plan B, and got the Ham & Egg sandwich. They have cakes too, if bread is not your source of energy intake in the morning Ordered Americano coffee to go along with my sandwich. Nice, and scent coffee. Isn't too bitter, in my opinon. Sandwich is not bad, while the egg is mushy, not overcooked. What's more can you ask from a sandwich? While Doutor Coffee is pretty known for its fine quality of coffee beans, almost everyone ordered a cup of coffee for takeaway for dine-in. With its only sole location in Marina Bay yet, it does attract a number of avid caffeine drinkers! For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/09/provence-bakery-cafe.html I get to know Provence when I was previously working in ION Shopping Mall. It is a Japanese-owned Bakery, which focus on creation and quality. First, Spicy Beef Curry Cube ($1.60) whcih seems like a rubic cube. Love the fluffy-ness of the bread, and the smell of curry just came flowing out when one part was bitten off. Second, Cream Cheese Sesami ($0.80) which I believe they meant sesame? Again, fluffy bread! A small amount of cream cheese, and taste of sesame seed is not significant at all. They have a cafe on the second floor, which gives patrons a place to relax and enjoy their food and pastries to the fullest. Provence do have sandwiches too, and having tired that before, no doubt my likeness for Provence still stays the same! The Queen Victoria Banquet
I have visited The King Louis Grill and Bar previously, on my own accord to try out their food, and was kinda disappointed. Heading straight to the food, we had the mushroom soup. As described by the PR, this soup consists of five mushrooms, and I find it thick and taste is just right! "Drenched" my bread with the soup, and it was down my stomach in seconds Next came this light salad. Bite-sized tomatoes, with corns and chicken with sauce. Not being a tomato-liker from the start, I headed straight for the corn and chicken.. It is definitely a dish to go for. Platter C consisting of chicken wings, potato wedges, calamari rings, fried squid, and their one of their supposing-signature banana wrapped with bacon strips. It is as I had before, banana does not goes well with the bacon. Last came The Queen Victoria Banquet ($108.50). Consisting of five highlights, and with meat and vegetable bases, this is the best part of the meal! I love their scallop, prawns, and back ribs most! Especially their back ribs, full of bbq sauce, and ribs is soft and sweet! Beef is a little hard to my liking, probably due to medium-rare.
