Lunch menu is actually quite straightforward. Choose either 2 course ($42.00++) or 3 course ($55.00++) set lunch, and select from a minimal list of dishes. Or, you can go for ala carte, which is pretty much more expensive.

One of our starter was Sous Vide 48 degree King Salmon ($26.00++). Salmon is pretty fresh!Another starter was Deep Fried Calamari & Prawns ($22.00++). Squeeze the lemon, and dip it with their spicy aioli sauce... Not bad smile

For the mains, we had Baby Lamb Rack wih Gremolata ($46.00++), and Wagyu Short Rib ($46.00++). Love their crispy cheese croquette, and of course the soft, juicy wagyu beef!

To be honest, I am enjoying every bit of their food and time spent in Ocean Restaurant smile

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2013/04/ramen-keisuke-tori-king.html

Ramen Keisuke Tori King Ramen is actually another branch, similar to Tonkotsu King Ramen, which is a few hundred metres away. And according to hearsays, both are yummy, but Keisuke seems to win more tummy over? smile Basically, Keisuke is more on chicken meat, whereas Tonkotsu is more on pork.

A very small restaurant, which totally matches with the shop space at Tonkotsu too. The highest price it can go up to is $16.90, excluding gst and tax. It has a menu that comprises 3 types of soup, and I specifically prefer black spicy tori king. What I like about them is that I get to so-called "customize" my ramen to my liking. If there are any people not a fan of wasabi, do not go for the green spicy column. Because you will not be able to enjoy your soup, and I had to take each sip of my ramen and soup slowly to prevvent myself from choking due to the pungent taste of wasabi!

For those who likes to instagram their food, etc. probably you might want to go for the most expensive at the bottom of each column, as it comes with a large seaweed! But I think that the seaweed is not crispy at all. I like their cold-marinated beansprouts and theirhard-boiled eggs, which are free-flow!

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2013/05/folks-collective.html

Located in CBD, this Thai restaurant seems to be surprisingly affordable, yet effort has been taken into the decor which creates a cosy ambience for diners! Seeing crowd in the weekends, moreover in the CBD.. seems good enough to look forward to?

Menu is not yet completely fixed, due to this period which is still their soft launch. But food range is not too limited, and you wouldn't find it hard at all to get the food down your throat smile

Ordered shrimp pancake with plum sauce, crispy tofu with sweet chili sauce, crispy chicken skin, sambal prawns, thai basil stir fry, mango sticky rice, and ice cream kati, totaling to around $66 with drinks, steamed rice, gst &tax all inclusive.

Their food are not very awesome, but it is still yummy! I think it is super worth it, as most of their dishes are less than $10,and their service is super courteous. If you are looking for a drink, they have a bar counter as well.

For detailed review, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2013/02/fresh.html

Decided to go healthy once in awhile, I went to "Fresh +" for my lunch break during the weekdays.

You might be seeing a long queue, but the queuing time is relatively fast, and its just a matter of a couple more minutes before you are back at your table enjoying your healthy meal!

I went for the customized medium size salad for $7.60 (and also $9.90 for large) that comes with 6 toppings, and salad dressing. They also have ready-made selections for salads and sandwiches, just like subway. But I prefer the freedom of allowing me to select my own toppings, afterall I'm paying for what I'm eating ya?

My total bill came up to about $16+, with an extra basic topping, a premium topping, and a bowl of their hot soup of the day, which is potato cabbage soup. Even though their soup is quite nice, but I still think it is still a little overpriced. Salad wise, it was yummy, if all the toppings are your favorites! They have quite a wide range of selections for the basic toppings, which is a plusnpoint for them!

Will definitely visit them again for my healthy meal next time smile

For full review, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2013/02/boathouse-restaurant.html

Was given a chance to visit Boathouse during Valentines Day, and it was what I have been longing from a long time. Their set meal for a couple costed about $209, lasting for a 3 course meal.

Wanted to get the indoor seating as it seems to be more classy and has a more pretty decor, but due to full seating, we had no choice but to head to the outdoor seats. Hence, photos are quite bad due to poor lighting condition.

First course options are Huitre, and Canard. The former is actually a soup based appetizer and soup texture is rather smooth! The latter is a salad type having duck confit in it, which is savory!

Second course options are boeuf, and saumon. The former highlights the beef, which is soft and chewy, quite to my liking. The latter highlights the pan-roasted salmon. Salmon is soft, and not overcooked, compact and juicy!

The third course options are myrtille, and le'ispahan. The former is more on blueberry flavor. Blueberry chessecake, blueberry muffin ice cream... And it's simply too yummy. Blueberry cravers should not miss this! The latter is less favorable than the former. Le'ispahan has rose &lychee tiramisu, raspberry coulis. Rose taste is too overwhelming, and making the whole dessert a little weird in taste. Unable to finish the le'ispahan, nd having a look round, most tables left this dessert unfinished.

Overall, service was good, and crew was very polite to diners though they were busy running here and there due to the crowd. Ambience is rather cosy if not for the crowd. Wouldn't mind heading there again but provided I get an indoor seating to fully enjoy the dining experience!
