Known by many as Gangnam Korean BBQ Restaurant. But signboard states Running Man instead. Was greeted by true Koreans, and their spoken English level is quite high though.. No problem communicating with them. Limited seats, but hosting a large group is no hurdle smile

Some of their items are meant for 2 pax, and we had requested for a 2 pax share, with half portion to be Marinated Pork with Chili Paste, and Marinated Chicken with Chili Paste ($35.00+) to complete it.

When the wok is placed, they will actually cook the food for you, once the meat is warmed up.

You can eat without the sides, but I prefer to wrap it with the lettuce. Thumbs! Meat is soft and tender.

Most claimed that the spicy is real spicy. But due to some mistake, we had ours a little less spicy upon request. Thus, it wasn't spicy at all.. although I would prefer to try on myself how spicy it could be..

Lastly came the Kimchi Pancake ($12.00+). They asked if it can be placed on the wok, as our table were filled with sides. Their pancake was nice too, which I did not regret ordering!

Pretty self-service type of ordering concept.

It seems their homemade ice lemon tea is a hit there, as almost every table has that drink!

Pasta added with spicy garlic sauce, mushrooms and prawns ($12.30). Prawns are crunchy, and sauce is creamy too. Pasta a little hard yet with a little bounce too. It is spicier than it seems to be, and upon closer look, you will spot cut-chili padi...

Cheese baked rice with creamy mango sauce, chicken sausage and minced beef ($11.30). I kind of regretted choosing the creamy mango sauce, as it doesn't mixed well with the baked rice. I should have gone for something spicer instead of sweet sauce. Nevertheless, It's still delicious smile

Generally, food is not bad, and service is commendable too smile I just love to customize my food.. tongue

Was glad to be able to attend OpenRice's Food Tasting session. Located along the old street of Upper Thomson Road, where some great food stalls awaits you, such as Nasi Lemak Kukus! Simple place, friendly and smiley crew smile

Going straight to their drinks, I had the popular iced Drip Coffee. Using the Vietnamese style, coffee is dripping from the top through a simple filtering tool, and into the cup filled with milk. Stirred and goes down my throat!

For ala-carte, its self-service, and possibly, a little more time to consider which to take. I bet most of us had enough of stall-owners waiting for you to decide, making you feel so pressurized??

Their rice is one of the signature! Their coconut rice are steamed rather than the usual boiled method. Longer time needed to cook the rice, but end-result emits a strong fragrance of coconut and pandan smile

Craving for more? You can go for their free-flow rice with sambal if you do not wish to spend more, or try their burgers! Ramly-style!

Definitely a place I would visit again, and especially when my hunger starts drumming in the late night!

Prices are affordable, and it basically costed us around $43 nett for drinks, mains, and a truffle fries for 2 pax.

Ordered Ice Habitat Fusion Tea - Lychee ($4.90), and Ice Lemon-up ($4.50).

Hello Truffle Fries ($8.00) dressed with fine grated parmesan. Crispy and not oily smile

The Big Ben ($14.00) consists of scrambled egg & honey baked ham on english fluff, with chicken cheese sausage, oven baked tomato and mini potato pancakes. Runny scrambled eggs, and not forgetting about their potato pancakes which actually taste like hashbrowns - soft and crisp.

The Shrooms ($12.00) has poached egg & sauteed mushroom on brioche bread, topped with homemade hollandaise sauce. Seems like another main to go for.

Lunch by the Marines Smile Jul 08, 2013

For details, please visit http://www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/07/ocean-restaurant.html

Lunch menu is actually quite straightforward. Choose either 2 course ($42.00++) or 3 course ($55.00++) set lunch, and select from a minimal list of dishes. Or, you can go for ala carte, which is pretty much more expensive.

One of our starter was Sous Vide 48 degree King Salmon ($26.00++). Salmon is pretty fresh!Another starter was Deep Fried Calamari & Prawns ($22.00++). Squeeze the lemon, and dip it with their spicy aioli sauce... Not bad smile

For the mains, we had Baby Lamb Rack wih Gremolata ($46.00++), and Wagyu Short Rib ($46.00++). Love their crispy cheese croquette, and of course the soft, juicy wagyu beef!

To be honest, I am enjoying every bit of their food and time spent in Ocean Restaurant smile
