wantons Smile Mar 23, 2011

As this stall is usually crowded during lunch hr, I never had a chance to try it. Today, I went, and was pleasantly surprised that the queue was short. This wanton (i asked for dried version) noodles was quite springy, and the oil was very little, which was good. The wanton skin seemed to form a large part of the wanton, the meat was not alot, but still, on the whole, tasty enough. I skipped the veg at the side as they didn't look too apetitizing....

Good yummy fried stuff Smile Mar 22, 2011

I always buy takeaway from this chain as i find the shop interior abit like a fridge, ie, very sparse and cold. Maybe cos everything is plastic. Abit different from the warmth I felt at Fish and Co. Nevertheless, the fried fish is really good, and the fries are not soggy and just soft enough.

Soft and smooth Smile Mar 22, 2011

Upon putting the spoon into the bowl of bean curd, the perfectly shaped smooth curd just scatters immediately. This means it is very very fresh. Literally melts in mouth. This is what I got from this humble stall. However, it could be cos I went early that day... In sharp contrast to those hard curd that needs to be scooped tediously with the spoon and even needs chewing.

Main course Smile Mar 22, 2011

The cajun fish is the item I would usually order if no time to look at menu. It is a safe choice, as the fish is cooked till tender and yet thoroughly cooked, without any horrifying hard-to-chew raw bits. There is no need to use the knife actually. One can just scoop it up with the spoon. The other main course I like is Pasta with Chicken Strips in Spicy Tomato Sauce.
For side dish, I would recommend the Waffle Fries with Cheese Melts and Sour Cream Topping.

Good food Smile Mar 22, 2011

This place is a half hour walk away from the interchange, right in front of Temasek JC. Well kept and well lit stall, very clean. So, I proceeded to order some to try. The pickled radish was fried till there is some dark charred bits. Oil was dripping all over the kueh, providing a much needed moisture and yet not enough deterrence for the health conscious people to stay away from this fragrant kueh. I was glad I did not buy as takeaway, as the oil might seep through the brown paper pack.
