Was walking around with a friend after sailing, looking for dinner and decided to try Nando's. Here's a picture of the interior.

I ordered a drink called "Citrus..." (I can't recall the exact name, the one on the right of the photo below) I found the drink to be very refreshing.

Since Nando's is famous for their peri-peri chicken, I decided to try it. I ordered it without the sides because I wasn't feeling that hungry. Anyway, I ordered it at the hot level and it was a tad too spicy for me.

My friend had the chicken breast pita, and it was not bad.

We ordered a caramel cheesecake to share. I like how it isn't overwhelmingly sweet, as some would expect with caramel. In fact, it was just nice and the cheese came out nicely. Love the cake.

Had chicken bolognese, which is rare because I usually order cream based pastas.

I felt that the chicken bolognese was nothing special and I still prefer the cream-based pastas. Towards the end, I got sick of the pasta and found it nauseating. Would definitely not order this again.

Service was quick though, given that it was lunch hour the the place was quite crowded.

Walked around Takashimaya and decided to have lunch here
Saba Set

Saba Set

The saba fish set came with a salad, soup and rice. As usual, I didn't touch the miso soup at all because it's just not my thing; I always find it too salty. The fish was fresh and nicely done. The meat was succulent and tender.

I felt that at $8.50, the meal was well worth it.

On the next few occasions that I went down, the place was packed and there were no seats so I have not had a chance to try the rest of the menu sad

Met up with a couple of friends at a friend's house and there wasn't much to eat nearby so we decided to give this place a try.
Here are some pictures of the interior.

We ordered the set meal for 2 and added another serving of rice since the 3 of us weren't that hungry.

The set meal came with 3 dishes: Oyster Sauce Chicken Wings (middle portion only), Guo Tie and Fish You Tiao. The skin of the guo tie was too thick in my opinion, and it was lukewarm. The wings and fish you tiao were average but I like the chilli sauce that came with the you tiao.

The service wasn't that good. The waitress was so confusing when we tried to clarify about the bubble tea that came with the drinks and she also seemed very impatient when taking our orders.

We also found it odd that at a corner of the place, there was a shelf filled with shampoo and other products which are unrelated to food.

Poulet OK Feb 26, 2013

Read a lot of great reviews about the place and have been wanting to try it so I went down with a friend on a Friday night. Thankfully we were early and managed to get seats without queueing (they don't take reservations).

We started off with the French Onion Soup and although it was not traditionally done and not the most authentic, I liked it.

Due to the all the reviews online, we decided to order the much raved about poulet roti. Given the great reviews of the poulet roti, we had high expectations for it. Sad to say, we were slightly disappointed as we found it to be average.

We also ordered the mash potato and it was extremely creamy, which is exactly what I love about it. This is probably weird but I like the mashed potato more than the poulet roti.

We left without dessert because we were so stuffed from all the food.
