nice coffee OK Oct 02, 2012

nice coffee and toast. still prefer the original killiney coffee and toast on killiney road. the coffee here is similar to everywhere else. did not like that they spilled a lot of the coffee when they delivered it to the table! this happens a lot. it was already a very small cup to begin with! the coffee is a bit bitter and thick. but the strength of the coffee is good when you need a real strong caffeine kick! their coffee is recommended. not sure exact price - around $1.50, which is not worth it after they spilled a lot of it

love the bean curds here. fresh and tasty. at times there is a powdery texture. prefer mr bean to most other bean curd places. the bean curds here are usually smooth and silky. prefer the curds in large pieces and not small pieces. friendly staff. fast and efficient. love their pastry too. wish they still had the green tea flavour - now there is only pineapple and green bean. don't remember exact price - around $1.50 for the bean curd. the photo shows the close up of the bean curds

nice breakfasts Smile Aug 24, 2012   (Related Review)

The breakfasts here are great. The scrambled eggs are nicely done and not dry or overly wet. Served with bread basket and butter. The bacon is a bit too stringy and thin, with not much meat on it. The coffee is good. You can order whatever other pastry is in the window - there's a lot to choose from. Seating is casual. The place does get rather grotty as there are bread crumbs on the floor and on the furniture. Service is rather non-existent after they take your order. The breads and pastries are rather overpriced as well.

love the fries Smile Aug 24, 2012

Love the fries that come with most of the mains. It's cut wedge style but they're not called wedges. It's lovely and thick and nicely seasoned. Not too salty and has some smoky taste. Great as an additional side. We never tire of eating these fries! Goes well with mains or just with your coffee as finger food. Nice location - can't miss it as it is right next to the MRT.

lovely oysters Smile Aug 24, 2012   (Related Review)

Loveed the quality of their oysters! So huge and fresh and juicy! Not sure about some of their lobsters sometimes as the claws can be rather mushy. Haven't found a bad oyster yet, so the oysters are still sure-wins. We're always challenging each other to find the biggest oysters! The biggest we have found here are the size of my palm! Scarily big. Luckily it's fresh! Goes well with the lemon and tabasco. However, the lemon always runs out and they are slow to replace the lemon stocks.
