Rosti! Smile May 30, 2011

Marche at vivo city!
Comparing the interior design of marche 313 and vivo city, marche 313 wins.
But the good food and friendly service is the same for all stores(:

I ordered rosti with salmon, my all time favorite dish.
Actually i preferred eating the rosti without the sour cream.
The salmon slices given were huge and taste damn awesome.
The salmon slices were quite salty but when eaten together with the rosti, they get neutralised.
Dessert was Movenpick's passion fruit mango ice cream.
I love the fruitty refreshing taste with a tinge of sourness in every spoon.
I'm serious, it is very nice! My friend can't stop stealing my ice cream!

Frap! OK May 30, 2011

Categories : American | Coffee

Last week, there was special half price promotion for frappuccino from 3-5pm.
Went to Starbucks Paragon and bought two chocolate cream chip and strawberries and cream.
Usually i will drink java chip, but I've decided to give strawberries and cream a try since I'm a big fan of strawberries!
I was disappointed, it was quite watery and not much of a strawberry taste, more of a cream taste.
I think I'll stick to chocolate cream chip or java chip in the future.
Overall service was good!

Chinese curry OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Hainanese | Hawker Centre

I have tried curry mutton, curry fish and curry vegetable from this stall before.
My favourite is their curry vegetable, lots of ingredients in it.
(cabbage, long bean, tau pok, turnip)
As for the curry fish, it tasted average.
For the curry mutton, yes it smells good and the gravy is good.
However it is very oily.
You can see a thick layer of oil on top of the gravy, and it's hard to separate the gravy from the oil because there are simply too much oil.
Potato is hard, mutton is soft but fat.

White rice and bread are both available.

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Lunch)

Bor bor cha cha Smile May 28, 2011

My favourite dessert shop of all time.
Reasonable pricing and awesome desserts.
My favourite dessert is bor bor cha cha.
(I had a few encounters of desserts shop serving unfresh yam in the bor bor cha cha)
Kim lotus desserts never disappoint me, their yam and sweet potato in the bor bor cha cha taste sweet and fresh, and not cooked till too soft.

Other than bor bor cha cha, I've tried their chendol, ice kacang, ice jelly cocktail and almond jelly with longgan. All are good!

Hokkien Mee OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

Hoe kee hokkien mee offers a wide range of local delicacies like carrot cake, hokkien mee, oyster egg etc.
Tried their hokkien mee this time round, the mee was served with opeh leaf at the bottom.
Their hokkien mee tasted normal, prawns were fresh.
After mixing in the chilli, the hokkien mee was spicy for me.
So for those people who can't take spicy food, request for less chilli!
