Craving Satisfied Smile Jun 18, 2014

Categories : American | Ice Cream and Gelato

I was craving for ice cream that day. Any kind, any brand of ice cream. Right upon seeing Haagen-Dazs outlet at Esplanade, I went there to satisfy my craving.

Cookies & Cream - $5.90. Don't ask me how Haagen-Dazs ice cream tastes like. Every spoonful was just sinful! My cookies & cream was so rich in vanilla flavor. It wasn't a wrong choice. Probably the best cookies & cream ice cream so far.

Green Tea - $5.90 (+ cookie crumbs topping for $1). It was very yummy as well. Green tea and cookies worked well, making it a guiltlessly perfect combination.

Craving satisfied! What a heavenly treat I had...

Chocolate Indulgence Smile May 23, 2014
Categories : American | Café | Desserts and Cakes

Max Brenner, an Israel-origin chocolatier, has been on my wishlist since long ago hoho. Yesterday it was 9pm and all restaurants in Marina Bay area (especially Esplanade) were overwhelmed by people! We decided to go for dessert. We had been on queue for approximately 15 minutes before our turn came. The line behind us was like crazy, until the security man came and spruced the line.
"Chocolate is not just about taste. It portrays different aspects of our lives: romance, sensuality, and decadence". This quote written on the menu book attracted me. The menu offered was various, made me get tempted to try all of them. It took some times to pick out our choice - we got stuck in confusion beyond their mouthwatering menus!

Cookieshake - $9.90. Frozen chocolate frappe with white chocolate cream & Oreo cookies. Came in a super cute Alice cup, completed with stainless steel straw. All ingredients were smoothly blended. It was perfectly yummy, even at the first slurp. Man, I can forever sucking that drink...

Milk Chocolate - $6.90. At first, the waiter had mistaken my order with Dark Chocolate, then he immediately changed it. Came in a Hug Mug, which was not less cuter than Alice cup. According to the menu, this drink was made using Venezuela chocolate, with hints of vanilla. It was creamy, the milk chocolate was rich in taste. However, the sweetness became too overpowering after a few sips. And here I'm thinking, I should have received that Dark Chocolate instead, haha.

Chocolate Chunks Pizza (full) - $19.50. Double chocolate melting chunks pizza with a choice of topping: hazelnut bits, bananas, roasted marshmallows, or peanut butter. We chose bananas for topping. It was a quite huge round of pizza, with generous amount of chocolate spread and banana slices. The chocolate spread was heavenly sinful OMG I'm gonna die! Even I licked all that chocolate stains on my fork and plate lolol.

All in all, Max Brenner's treats are delicious beyond words! Max Brenner's great passion for chocolate tells how sinful the chocolate is. Definitely something to die for. Surely will be back for more chocolatey treats (especially waffle and fondue)!

Student Meal Smile May 23, 2014

Ebi Fry - $5.95. What I like about being a student is that I can enjoy meal at a slightly cheaper price haha. The student meal set in Yoshinoya comes with a glass of softdrink. For the ricebowl, I chose Ebi Fry. It consists of 3 pieces fried ebi, vegetables, and of course rice. The ebi was crunchy and well-seasoned. No complain for rice, veggies and drink. Everything was enjoyable.

Nutella and Banana Milk Froyo Smile May 13, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

Sogurt is a self-service froyo shop. So you can mix and match your own froyo with toppings without any limitation. Once you are done with your creation, proceed into the cashier where they will weigh your froyo and you pay based on the weight. It costs $3 per 100 grams.

I was spoiled by choices of flavor and topping. I mixed almost all of their flavors, but my favorites were nutella and banana milk flavors. The nutella was very chocolatey and sweet, so was the banana milk, it was rich in banana flavor. For toppings, I just put in some random things like marshmallow, oreo crumbs, mochi, fruity pebbles, and choco crunch.

My froyo turned out to be $6.80. Wuaa it is expensive indeed, but the froyo fulfilled more than half of that big cup. It fitted for 2 people, so my friend and I paid $3.40 each. Don't worry, for such price you will get a quite large amount, and you can always share it with your friend smile

Recommended Dish(es):  Froyo

Spending per head: Approximately $7(Other)

Can't Get Enough of Llaollao! Smile Jan 08, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

It was my fourth time eating Llaollao. And fml, I just knew that Llaollao should be pronounced as 'yao-yao' instead of 'lao-lao'...

It was a Saturday afternoon at 1pm, it was the first weekend in 2015, and surprisingly, the queue was short! We didn't see the queue that extended until the lift next to Yoshinoya that we used to see in 2014. Guess what, after we started queue-ing, the number of people queue-ing behind us started growing. We brought good luck, this was what we shamelessly called ourselves.

Sanum - $6.50
It's predictable that I always order Sanum every time I visit Llaollao, told you that once I begin to like a particular thing, high chance that I will repeat the order. This time, our Sanum contained chocolate muesli crunch and candy milk drizzle, and for the 3 choices of fruit I let bf decide, and he chose blueberry, strawberry and pomegranate. The yogurt as usual, nothing to complain about, it was perfect! But bf said my choice of crunch and sauce would bring him diabetes, coz it was cloyingly sweet haha. I was okay with it though. I like the candy milk drizzle and complemented the yogurt really well. It was my first time eating fresh pomegranate, it tasted unique with edible seed inside.

Overall, Llaollao's Sanum is heavenly delicious, it's become my serious addiction. You gotta order this at Llaollao, I think it's more worth it than having normal cup of froyo (but then, you decide). I don't mind the queue coz at the end it's all paid off. I'm really jealous of SP and NTU students who have their own Llaollao stall at their school canteen hais... I swear if Llaollao opens at my school I WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO QUEUE!
