Thai Food OK Apr 28, 2011

Ordered a Thai iced lemon tea.

Did not taste the way I had expected it, a little too sour with the distinct thai tea taste.

Thai food there was amazing, especially the green curry. Review of the other thai dishes ordered will be done in a separate entry.

Would have preferred the tea to not be so sour and a little sweeter.

Ben n Jerry's OK Apr 28, 2011

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Ice Cream and Gelato

Weird combination of ice cream as my friend wanted a fruity sorbet and I wanted something chocolatey.

Waffle bowl was crispy and probably the only part of the ice cream I truly enjoyed.

Price wise was a little confusing as it differed from the price shown on the menu board. When asked how many scoops of ice cream I can choose, staff said that I am allowed 2 scoops. However, upon making payment, I realised that I was charged extra for the "additional" scoop that I ordered.

Alisan Milk Tea OK Apr 28, 2011

Tried the alisan milk tea after recommendation from a friend.

The tea is topped with a layer of foamy milk which is quite different from KOI's macchiato. The milk was more foamy and did not have any sweet taste, just a strong milky taste.

Tea also had a very strong roasted taste which I would have enjoyed more if it was served hot and without milk.

Pearls were chewy and serving wad in abundance.

Fillet Burger OK Apr 28, 2011

Tried the fillet burger before friend actually told me that Wendy's is famous for their square patties.

Fillet was crispy but nothing to shout about. Normal tasting burger, but the beef chilli that we ordered to share was its redeeming quality. Beef chilli will be shared in another review!

Ambush Paella OK Apr 28, 2011
Categories : European | Pasta | Paella

Upon great recommendations from my colleagues, we headed down to Ambush at Jurong Point for a birthday celebration. The "restaurant" was actually more like a cafe, situated in a kiosk-like area just outside courts. After a short wait, we were shown to our tables. Our area was a little squeezy and were given a square table for the 4 of us. Food was served promptly, but iced water needed reminders before it was served.

The paella was tomato-y, rice was sticky and just nice. On top of the seafood ingredients, there were also pieces of bacon, sausage, capsicums and tomato. A little sour, but quite appetizing till the end where it got a little too much.
