Char Kway Teow Smile May 03, 2011
Categories : Hawker Centre

Mild sweetness, piping hot noodles some rather good chilli and good pricing makes this a must have for me at this place. I have never tried their hokkien mee before but there seems to be a fair share of orders for char kway teow and hokkien mee. The hum here tasted a little off, but overall, the dish wasn't too bad.

Beef OK May 03, 2011

Tried the very much famous beef chilli at this newly constructed building and I must say it's rather interesting. Somehow, the beef; which tastes like minced pork to me, and mixture of vegetables including carrots and onions seemed to go well together. It reminds me of Leggo's pasta sauce but with much more ingredients. For chilli lovers, you will be disappointed as it isn't that spicy compared to Carl Junior's rendang fries.

YUM! Smile May 01, 2011

Got myself a carrot walnut cake slice as starbucks never does serve their carrot cakes anymore. Though pricer, it very much differs from starbucks. In a matter of fact, it makes starbucks look bad, probably the reason why they took it off the menu tongue
The cheese at the top blends in very well with the rest of the cake. In addition, the walnuts were fresh as well!
The blueberry hazelnut cheese cake was heavenly too! The sweetness and cheesyness..you have to try it to believe it!

Good place if you're in the mood for splurging!

Nice! Smile May 01, 2011

Saturdays are one of those days whereby CBD seems like a ghost town. On the bright side, there are seemingly no queues for outlets though quite a few close early. Was planning to head to M hotel for some sumptuous pie but ended up waiting for my partners for more than 10 minutes. Decided to ease off my cravings with a little treat of somewhat the same flavour. For such a petite pastry, the pepper chicken does well to encompass the essence of a "chicken pie" and the pepper was noticeable as well. As it crumbles easy, best to eat it stationary.

Gyoza Smile May 01, 2011

Exceptional gyoza, also known as guo tie, are known to be overflowing with soup and drips down your mouth once you bit it. Those are usually referred to as steamed guo tie, whereas there are also those that are fried, which are not as wet on the inside as the steamed ones. This stall gives us the best of both worlds by being crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Given the chance, this would well replace mcnuggets for me price-wise.
